Well we seem to be where we usually are.

Up until recently we never knew what was happening, finance level.

Now it's a season ticket buy or not changer. Apparently.

I go to watch football. It's not that serious in the overall scheme of things.

I like moaning and groaning upon what we see but for God's sake, let's keep it in perspective.

You make some fair and balanced points in that post and I agree with parts of it. I also accept we would have ahpappier fan base if were once again in the play off places. However the shocking running of the club means we are to be relegated.

Ultimately though it's these points you are making about no renewal no club I wish to comment on.
Firstly I hope it down come to that and by removing support it will instead lead to either change in approach or change in ownership.
However even if I were to accept that what you are suggesting was certain I still would not renew. I will not be blackmailed into buying season ticket. I could accept a ton of mistakes and following up last year with relegation. What I continue to be unwilling to accept is I no longer feel I am supporting the club financially but the owners quest to buy the club without putting their own money in then sell it on to make "free" money.

In the last 20 years can you name a club which has ‘disappeared’. Barnsley Football Club will continue to exist. The consistent of any football club is the supporters, players, staff, grounds all change the supporters remain.

You are right but I think the difference now is live streaming of games and fans will save a significant amount of time and money by watching these streams rather than going to Oakwell. I believe some of the not renewing is down to the other option they now have.

I personally enjoyed watching the games on tv during lockdown and would have no issue doing it from now on but our club needs our support.

The matchday experience is created by the fans singing and clapping not the size of the TV screens and scoreboard or forcing a pint down in 15 minutes at half time.

Really good point i didnt think of that when setting up the poll. I m not going to mess people about by doing another poll but i should have done the poll plus 10 to minus 10.
