That’s all you needed to say 4 months ago. It’s hardly surprising that people were getting a bit annoyed that you’d held on to £600 for that long and weren’t bothering to update us after being messaged by Gally multiple times. You didn’t need to have logged on to see it as Gally spoke to you about it and you clearly could have logged on to give an update as you just have now, you just didn’t see the need to let people know earlier. If it was anyone else in any other context fundraising for something, not completing it (even accidentally), not admitting it, not responding over a month later after being called out about it, then you’d understand why people might be asking questions of them. You must be able to see why that’s fair, even about yourself.

Spent too long with BFC hierarchy, you've adopted their communication skills

    Shouldn't laugh but that's funny.

I've taken the same approach to this as I have my Dartford Crossing charges. Forgotten.

Maybe next time after you notice a mistake with other people's money it's probably wise not to take the decision to keep it a secret. It kinda leads to people criticising you and you having to post a dismissive response a few months later in which everyone else but you is blamed. All could have been averted if you'd just been upfront and honest when you realised the mistake which I assume was in December when you didn't get invited to the sponsors dinner.

Both threads as far as I can see had a 12 month gap with no comments until early July.

It wasn't a case of finding out four months ago and myself and Gally choosing not to tell anyone - I literally admitted as much in what I just responded with.

    -----------------------

    - Myself and Gally then realised (in March) we weren't mentioned on the website and didn't seem to be getting any sponsorship comms (BFCST were for their sponsorship but not this one)
    - We agreed at that time (but in hindsight one of us should have posted on here) that we'd wait for the Playoffs to be done and agree the same deal for 2023/24 as it was like the sponsorship hadn't happened

    ----------------------

I was on here trying to help people with Wembley tickets in May and nobody asked anything. Because we'd all forgotten about it until three weeks ago. I've been fairly honest with the shortcomings on my initial post, and haven't suggested it isn't fair, just explained the background, timeline, and resolution.

send em an email mate, they’ll let you off the first ones… and they’ve just changed debit card provider for the auto payments so there’s a right pot mess going on!

Hang on. No you knew about it all the way up to Christmas when you were asking them how to pay. You knew you hadn't been invited to the sponsors dinner in December. You then knew again in march and you chose to keep it a secret. Whatever your reasons were for doing so it is exactly what you chose to do.

You now say that you've found it hard to say any of this as you don't even read the BBS. You are admin on here Loko so it isn't hard at all, it's a choice not to.

Frankly the posts aimed to you have been extremely lenient and you're lucky that you are in such a position of power and trust as if you weren't I think the response would have been much much harsher and deservedly so.

Absolutely. Keep the money inside the BBS by sponsoring @springvale red daughter as long as @Gally can confirm or not if kit sponsorship is available for the women's team.

Hmmmm, you seem to be defending yourself and Gally here, when no one had questioned Gally's involvement in this. Not so subtle deflection and an attempt to chuck someone else under the bus?

So - in true BBS fashion - I'm interpreting that as you got the £600 and bought some crypto on HEX and lost the lot

Seriously, thanks for the explanation and resolving this matter.

    Christ on a bike.

It's a tenner. Nobody noticed it had gone, nobody really noticed that the sponsorship didn't happen. Some people don't realise that this place isn't the be all and end all of other people's lives and that real life can get in the way.

Money will go to a good place, the world keeps spinning.

AKA Loko is a scumbag thief and I'm reporting him to SYP.

I'm sure there's a lot of people right now what wouldn't mind seeing a spare 600 quid floating about in their bank accounts.

Theres an explanation of whats happened. Applogies I didnt chase George up about an alternative last week as I said would. Comms have been rubbish for sure but I think we have a way forward etc so will lock this thread until the money is paid into Beth’s fund. Anyone who wants a refund drop me a pm before Wed.
