I'm happy for the money to go to Beth's fund, it had gone out of my account anyway!

I’m happy for mine to go to Beth but you’ve got a valid point. I think anyone who doesn’t reply by a certain date saying give their contribution to Beth should be refunded otherwise whoever collected the money could be on dodgy grounds. I find it a bit weird that this wasn’t admitted to as soon as it was found out to be honest.

Thanks for the update and shame about the issues last season. Think your suggestion of a donation to Beth is spot on so happy to go along with that :)

I think under the the circumstances, everyone should be refunded. We can all donate as individuals to our relevant charity (or not).

    +1 for Beth.
I'd actually forgot about it. But happy for it to go to a good cause

If it never actually happened it will have been known about for ages, so people surely could have been given their money back last year.

Did the money get paid to the club but it didn’t go ahead and they owe a refund or did the money never get paid as it didn’t happen and it’s still sat in a bank account somewhere?

Dunno, I’m sure it’s all just an honest oversight. I’ve checked PayPal and can’t see anything got returned, so I’m guessing the money must still be sat in account somewhere? It’s no big deal, only a tenner like, but obviously it needs to go back to people if it never went on sponsorship. It’ll get sorted.

Got tbh. I said I'd sort out my contribution last year. After I returned off my hols. But forgot all about it. How many joined, I'd chip in. Would it have to be a first teamer if enough wasn't raised. Are there smaller packages. ? Seems daft as I know individuals that dont have that sort of money (£1500+vat) lying around but just used to sponsor shirts. Would be nice to attach to an individual rather than a game ball for example.

I'd similarly like to know if the money is just sitting around in which case it could still be put to use.
The bump in sponsorship to 1500 is a bit over the top so I guess even if last year's money is still looking for a home it might be a stretch to make up the balance to 1500.
The money was originally purposed for player sponsorship and I'd prefer that to remain the case. If that's not possible I'll go with the majority view.

That’s why I’m wondering. If the club took the money but the sponsorship never happened then I think there’d be an argument for them owing us a sponsorship for the same price this year as an apology.

A lot of hassle for Loko to refund everyone though, credit to him for setting it up in the first place. I'd be happy for it to go to Beth's fund or any other charity.

Dunno but it’s 3.7million to sponsor a Wednesday player’s shoelaces.

Firstly id like my money to go to Beth and her family if possible, if that isn't possible just give it to any charity.

Secondly how the hell has someone had all this money sat in their bank account for a year earning interest without saying anything?

Thirdly if it was noticed near the end of the season why has it been kept quiet since then and has only been mentioned when someone asked who won?
