So you'd rather have kept Mcnulty and Wiseman, two players who've slagged the club off since leaving? You'd be surprised how much done of those were on. Especially poor old Scott.
To be reight they were average at best as they proved this season. In terms of wages probably not much difference.
They slagged off the club but kept us up. These lot are taking us down and don't care because hardly any of them will still be here next season.
10 country miles for me. When Flicker left we were as good as relegated. There's every chance we'll still be relegated. But there's still a chance we won't. Admittedly, it's because there are three others teams down there just as ***** as we are, but that's always the case when you escape relegation. Stay up, go down, we keep Wilson. Personally, I wouldn't have sacked Flitcroft. Not because I thought he was taking us anywhere (apart from down), but because we've got to stop sacking managers as soon as anything goes wrong. I probably wouldn't have sacked Hill, not for football reasons anyway, and I detested the bloke (I may well have sacked him for being a lovely person). Wilson I like, I think he's a a very good manager, so there's no way on earth I want him sacking. Until the Huddersfield game I thought we'd been unlucky to only accumulate the points we had. Lots of close games that just weren't going our way. Fine lines and all that. Huddersfield then hammered us, but we followed that up with a victory over Forest. Then, in the next game, we lost our two best players (Ramage and Cranie) and got the news we'd lost O'Brien for the season. I don't care who is managing us - Wenger, Mourinho, Ferguson - if you've got to pick a back four that includes Nyatanga, M'Voto and Kennedy because you've got no other choice (none of whom were brought in by the current manager) then you're going to lose and, unless the injured players recover, you're going to get relegated. A midfield where Dawson is your best player isn't going to help either. Why didn't Wilson bring in better players then? Because he had a couple of weeks to asses the squad and just a month to sign players, with the a pot the size of a thimble. Blame Wilson for the mess we're in right now and, I'm sorry but, you're mental.
