Boring football is the problem Crap head coaches 11 players defending a corner Playing 4 centre half’s in a back 4 Playing players out of position Blaming players not yourself after a poor performance Talking the talk but not walking the walk
It doesn’t matter who the manger is, whilst ever this current board are running things nothing will change. Calls for the managers head are pointless, we need to call for the idiots above running the show.
I backed Collins despite the horrible attitude from a number of posters on this forum towards him. Some of the things said about him were absolutely disgusting. He had a plan, the football wasn't the best but you could see what he was trying to do. I've no ******* idea what Clarke is trying to achieve, much like Schopp and Assbagi. But above all that, the board have got us into a right mess with poor recruitment and a generally a **** attitude to things off the field. They couldn't run a piss up in a brewery.
When we end up doing a Stockport County, we might need someone like Clarke in charge. Get this lot out of the club now and rebuild, even if that is from League 2. The FAB group can be disbanded as well.
Or play two slow holding midfield players 50 yards behind a lone centre forward. I use the centre forward term loosely….
This for me. Collins football bored me to tears and this is no better. But this bloke wants to blame the players every week in interviews.
At some point we all to need to show something that seems in very short supply patience. We can't do anything about other people not doing it manager's jumping ships as soon they get what they deem a better offer. I said at the time of Collins sacking if he was the right man 8 months earlier and he achieved his objectives it made little sense to get rid. Loyalty is a two way street look I've no idea if Clarkes the answer but they should they interviewed him only a matter of months since but one thing I'm certain of is ripping it up and starting again over and over certainly isn't.
good god we would need to see the next season figures a year in advance to give us anything like a chance of arriving at a consensus on a team and by then half of them would probably have left!
Appointing Collins was the wrong decision, someone who had only coached in the USA (not even in the MLS) and Clarke is also looking like a bad appointment. It's probably these types are all we can attract when people who are stats orientated and not footballing people are identifying and signing the players the head coach will be stuck with.
The timing of sacking Collins was all wrong, it should have been before Christmas he was hopeless. Will give Clarke time but he’s definitely losing me and many others. The real issue we know lies above.
It was an idiotic move at the time - it's an even more idiotic move in hindsight. But the abusive fans got their way in the end. But as I've said on the other thread, sacking Clarke is pointless. It just starts the cycle again.
I don't regret the sacking of collins but do regret the appointment of Clarke , he is out of his depth
100% not. Collins was not the right man to take us forward. Unfortunately, the powers that be have appointed someone as equally incapable. But that doesn't alter the fact that we were kak under Collins too. The board is where my ire is aiming these days.
As a fanbase, and like those of most other clubs, we want rid of everyone. Our Saturdays aren’t panning out as we’d envisaged so it’s “get shut”, wether it be manager, player or even the owners. Some questioned Duff early in his tenure, and Collins for most of his, and here we go again with Clarke and various players. Kane & Duff got dogs abuse from our fans yesterday, then the same fans booed our own players off at the end. Many of our fans don’t trust the owners, bemoan their choice of managerial appointments, yet are still happy for them to sack and replace managers and players, then moan when it doesn’t work out.
Cosgrove's hold up play is terrible. It wasn't Cole's strong point but it was still better than his. I agree most strikers would still struggle in this set up, but Cole would offer a lot more than we have. Proven goalscorer at this level.
