That's becase I'm a genuinely nice blowk as many on here will back me up.

I'm sure your energies would be far more deserving in objecting to blatant vandalism rather than me wanting to prevent it. Just a thought like .....

Is that relevant? Statues and monuments were around the country been destroyed and vandalised! Historical figures, former Queens, our War dead and former country leaders.

I could live anywhere in the country and id have done the same.

It happened nation wide.

 

Yes it is relevant, I just wondered whether it was locally and if so which statues were targeted for vandalism.

I'm not really sure if they released a pre vandalism list........ if they had I i might have stayed at home instead...... Christ!

While I think about it I may check online in a minute to see which houses may be burgled tonight or the car's that'll be nicked later.

If I'm not on the list I'll not bother locking my front door tonight and not set car alarm.

Or maybe I might just to be on the safe side just in case. Because houses and vehicles are targeted even without a prior warning.

I was just ducking out of speaking with someone who went to "guard" a statue, standing in "solidarity" with the "blowk" who racially abused Clarke Oduor, during a day when it was well publicised that the EDL and the "football lads" were out and about doing "their bit".

That's all.

 

I think that is the issue. Ducking out of discussions and debates is a specialty of the centrist lot, Blairites, Lib Dems and the like. Because the left won the cultural war they refuse to even listen to the other side of the argument.

I think guarding statues is a bit bloody stupid in all honesty, but I’m not going to just shut down someone who has done it as ‘ignorant’, ‘racist’, ‘stupid’. All that does is fan the flames of division when in reality there is much more to unite us if you actually debate and encourage healthy discussion.

I think it has become an endemic problem in today’s society that both the centrists and the right wing are guilty of, not being capable of debate anymore. If you feel so strongly opposed to statue guarding, instead of hiding and ducking out of debates, why don’t you try and persuade him to think otherwise.

Apathy and dismissive behaviour gets us nothing apart from Johnson and Trump. Think on.

 

Edit: can't be bothered. If that makes me someone who has "hidden" and "ducked out" then so be it.
