Clap Clap song was 89/90 season to coincide with the stars strip. They used to run out to it and then stand in the centre circle and do a pivot waving to each stand. Gayist team in't land at the time.
I beg to differ BMW - when I were a nipper the only song I ever heard coming out of the knackered tannoys in the ponty was El Condor Pasa by Simon and Garfunkel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pey29CLID3I
I think the original entrance tune was March of the mods back in the sixties. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xPkKgrmgFTw
48th time this has been discussed on here, and again, the correct answer is obviously Queen with 'One Vision'. Words perfect for this 'one town/one club' mullarkey.
The best we've had was I Am The Resurrection when King Keith reigned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbU7oVz0Uq0
I must disagree. It might have been crap musically, but we all knew what it was and it was pretty unique. Much better than the same old bland chart rubbish that is played nearly everywhere else... And I might be in the minority, but I think Timerider is crap.
Anyone got a version of the music we came out early 90s before Timerider (and after Klaxons)? Fanfare with a difference?
I wouldn't mind us using the piece of music from Rocky that we have played before the entrance crap is played. Going the distance by Bill Conti https://youtu.be/W3sZfPSSNVg
The old goal commentary we have before kick-off is ******* embarrassing. Brian Howard scoring at Anfield, played on a 1987 ALBA stereo. Cracking.
I love hearing Timerider; to me that will always be Barnsley FC. I can't ever hear it and not get goosebumps. I used to play it before going to/listening to the match every single time in the years when they stopped playing it. I have too many memories of sprinting towards Oakwell whilst the music was playing as we knew the teams were coming out. (Still always late even then).
