It’s funny because behind me in the top of the east stand there are 4 seats reserved for data analysts - it actually says that on the seats, but no one has ever sat there. I guess they’re still recruiting.

I wonder whether schopp has such a bad reputation that nobody wanted to come with him or whether possibly an assistant isn't a skilled enough job to get a visa following brexit

    That’s a fair non hysterical assessment. :)

His assistant at his previous club took his job there. Not knowing much about Austrian football but perhaps they don’t have big coaching setups compared to England.

I wouldn’t fancy moving jobs in Europe, through a pandemic & the Brexit nonsense. He might well do a good job somewhere else & obviously has.
It’s just not happening for him at Oakwell & there’s no signs that things will improve. Not that I can see?
I hope he goes by mutual consent. A bit of dignity & a few quid to see him on til his next job. :)

I’ve sympathy for Schopp for the reasons outlined in the OP, but over time you’d expect things to stabilise, players to get fitter and things to improve. Unfortunately as we’ve had players come back and the league placing of opposition become lower, results have got worse.

From what I heard of Brittain’s interview, I can’t see how he can carry on.

Its probably a money saving thing it would cost far more to take a head coach from say wycombe or Oxford than austria

Britain's been the most obvious player who isn't happy with him
