I won't tell anyone they're wrong for having an opinion. It's what this place is all about.

    But you're right, I don't agree.

For me it is pretty simple.

it is not the selling of players per se that people are irritated / upset by.

It is they lack of foresight insofar as they have been sold at an undervalue before the season kicked off which has meant:-

    1. we haven’t got as much in the coffers as we should have to reinvest
    2. We have had to play a season in one of the most competitive leagues in the world with young kids. We have gone in totally unequipped.

The lads have absolutely played their hearts out and given everything but they were totally undermined by the board. The boards implementation of their own strategy has been completely and utterly substandard and they should be held to account for that.

what they should have done was held on to the team that took us up. It would not have been relegated.

I do not accept that ‘if a player wants to go, he goes’

no he doesn’t, he honours his contract.

as soon as you let one go, the rest will follow. If you don’t let any go, none will follow. Perhaps one kicks off to the extent that you put them in the reserves. It needs very strong management. We pay their wages. End of story.

had we done the above (and concurrently needed the likes of odour Anderson into a winning team) we would be £5m up in terms of not losing tv revenue

    AND

the balance sheet would be a lot stronger as player value would have gone up exponentially

    AND

We would be a championship club next season.

the current strategy is not one that will sustain championship status in its current form.

You make some valid points there and respect your opinion.

The board can only change the opinions of fans with positive actions / ambition / progress. A club owned by billionaires should be ok and looked after in 3 months of lock down. Unfortunately all I have witnessed from them is calamity in the transfer markets false promises and absolutely zero improvement on or off the field.

I scratch my head as to why they bought us.

To say these people are shrewd top level business people their model and how they run the club has us going constantly backwards ?

Anyway I’m just a bloke in the street with nearly 40 years of watching them home and away what do i know ?

The quality of mercy is not strained.
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blessed:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
'Tis mightiest in the mightiest. It becomes
The thronèd monarch better than his crown.
His scepter shows the force of temporal power,
The attribute to awe and majesty
Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings,
But mercy is above this sceptered sway.
It is enthronèd in the hearts of kings.
It is an attribute to God himself.
And earthly power doth then show likest God’s
When mercy seasons justice. Therefore, Jew, Though justice be thy plea, consider this-
That in the course of justice none of us
Should see salvation. We do pray for mercy,
And that same prayer doth teach us all to render
The deeds of mercy. I have spoke thus much
To mitigate the justice of thy plea,
Which if thou follow, this strict court of Venice
Must needs give sentence 'gainst the merchant there.

There’s not enough Shakespeare on here.

    Whatever happened to Craig?

In Liverpool, they launched a new brand of tea, made from extract of koala bear. It never caught on, because it had too many bits of fur in it.

The koala tea of Mersey is not strained.

    Al get mi coit...
