This is all summat and nowt its just a tech version of the old boot room. Its a great idea if it gives us any advantage. Arsenal have used a version for years.
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/30/arsene-wenger-gabriel-paulista-signing Arsenal have, until now, only ever used it to supplement traditional scouting methods. Not used it to pick players. From what it seems we don't have any real network of scouts working for us - we must rely on the extensive contacts of Mansford, Watkins & Taylor.
Maybe he was. But that still points to bad management from the top - why would you ask a man who has 20 years experience managing in a certain manner to then come and change it? If this was the model we should've gone for a head coach and brought a Director of Football in & explained that.
As far as I'm concerned Mansford is on borrowed time. He probably has the chance to appoint 1 more manager. For his sake he better be inspired.
Why would he be on borrowed time? The other board member has presided over god know how many sackings and is still there
Im sure if Mr Cryne is pumping his own money into the club, he's not going to let someone else have the FINAL say.
Should definitely be used in conjunction with rather than instead of traditional methods. Clubs like Liverpool of old and Borrusia Dortmond use 'the wisdom of crowds' concept well.
I think its 'Marvin' the Paranoid Android "life, don't talk to me about life" "here I am with a brain the size of a planet............................."
There is one. I saw his name on a web page the other day but can't remember it but suffice to say is never heard of him
How would you say the last 2 years have gone, financially, in football terms etc? I would say an f-ing disaster? If i was the man behind the club I'd be only sacking so many managers before I put the boot in elsewhere.
I think you missed the point. The point being that the other director has been there for much more failure
