    bruce dyer? cant remember who it was against, but it was in front of the ponty end and he was down near the corner flag and just curled it in the net

    Looked like one of those pointless chases but ended up with the ball in the net somehow. Wasn't it a 1-0 win?

    think it was and how about the goal he scored in the play off 1st leg 4-0 win over brummies....squeezed between 2 defenders and prodded home...will always remember watching it back when i got home and the commentator saying 'bruce dyer is on fire'

    Barnard vs tottenham fa cup all the crowd in the east stand screaming for redders to switch the ball over to him...he does, crowd cheers then barnard pings the ball into the top corner running over to the east stand going crazy

    Cant remeber really...</p>

    Glavin got oodles of class goals which came from team moves too but the memory fades for specifics, Banks hit as many long range strikes as redders both equally quality as did Agnew.</p>

    but for strikes since its all I remember</p>

    Barnard vs Hudds you know the one</p>

    Archdeacon vs Leicester in t'cup</p>



    Thompson once scored a beauty vs Stoke too</p>

    Don't know if anyone else can remember it, but, ....

    .... Bobby Doyle's chip over the keeper, from the halfway line, against Swansea, at the Vetch (1975 ish), should be added to the list.
