    I don't know any. Like loads of groups and know their members but never looked at their instruments.

    Not one for noting names of the musicians of those bands ive seen. And tbh there are so many great musicians out there. The one that probably stood out for me as the bass player. Was actually seen a few times in the pubs n clubs. Although played with well known bands.

    Actually….not that easy.

    Andy Rourke is high up on my list. The Smiths’ bass lines are incredible. Big shout to Mani too.

    I think bass is probably the most difficult instrument to master and influence songs. If you took the bass out of the smiths songs I think it would take an enormous amount away, which you can’t say for a lot of bands. There’s often two unbelievable melodies going on with a lot of Smiths tracks in vocal and bass which makes them so very very good. Many times three with the masterful Marr on lead….
