Best: Geoff and Beau Bridges in The Fabulous Baker Boys Morgan Friedman in Invictus Worst: Colin Welland as schoolmaster in Kes ("Casper, that worr t'most exciting thing I've ivver seen in my life!" Aaaarggghhh!)
Worst just has to be Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. Jack Reacher is 6' 5", 250 lbs with a 36" inside leg and wears 3XL coats. Just like Tom Cruise - NOT
Better than bloody Orlando Bloom though who ruined Kingdom of Heaven and proved he wasn't leading man material. Best Robin Hood - Michael Praed.
What about Ewan McGregor in Brassed Off that was even worse. Tim Roth ruined Reservoir Dogs for me with that dodgy American accent so that has to go down as bad casting, same with Clive Owen in Sin City, couldn't do the accent.
totally agree Mr Depp is an amazing actor, you completely forget its Johnny Depp you just believe its whatever character he is playing... one of my favourites he did was 'Ichabod Crane' in "sleepy hollow" just wonderful
My vote would go to Waltz too but for Inglorious Basterds as the Nazi officer. Perfect fit. Brilliant in Django as well
Homer Simpson in the Simpsons movie. Would have been really **** if they'd have got someone else to do it.
Funny thing opinions aren't they? I thought charlieze theron was awful in monster.... Just completely overdid the facial tic thing to the nth degree, really irked me.. I was like "I get it, the women in real life has a facial tic, now stop distracting me"!
And just to reinforce the difference of opinions, I thought straight away of Sean bean as hood and Craig baffled me (despite knowing how great he is from"our friends in the north")until I watched his first attempt and he sold me completely by the end when he said "bond....James bond" towards the end.....
Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka was perfect. Why did they ever re-make it? Impossible to improve. Jack Nicholson in One flew over the cuckoo's nest was also perfect.
The best: As already mentioned Morgan freeman in invictus Leanardo Di caprio in Wolf of wall street Eddie redmayne in the theory of everything Liam Neeson in the Lego movie
Waltz in both the Tarantino films is a great call - first scene in Inglorious is incredible Worst - Sophie Ford Coppola - Godfather 3 - almost ruin a brilliant story in one fell swoop
Clint Eastwood in the Dollar films, Dick Van Dyke as a cockney in Mary Poppins. That's the good and the bad, just need an ugly
