Favourite is probably a better way of looking at it than 'best', should have put that in the title!

Interesting to see Barraclough in there. Before my time, but I always thought his lad Carl was a natural talent who could have been a cracking player, and might have been in my own list were he not so unlucky with injuries.

If you want to go back far enough you've got Tommy Taylor, would be first on my list.

Duncan Sharp was the best stopper centre half, Tommy Taylor centre forward, Johnny Kelly left winger. Remember them all.

Thats somewhat harsh considering my old man left to go to Chesterfield after a career threatening injury and Barnsley turning down a British transfer record for a defender in the process. He got injured in his supposed last game for Barnsley when he was due to sign for the Double Winning Spurs straights after the game. Maybe, Pat was a better player, I don't know cos I wasn't there but to say that due to One going to Newcastle and the other going to Chesterfield is a little bit OTT with the true facts.

Tbf Charlie was definitely better than Barker, so he's in and Barker is out.

Still can't believe we got 600k for him.

Carl Tiler was in my opinion a much classier defender than Morgan when we was with us, but didn't go on to have the career in football that many thought he would. As for the left back conundrum, perhaps we could shoe Mark Robinson in there with Eaden on the right? I'm sure Mad Mel tried some far more eccentric schemes.....

Mark Robinson only counts if we could use players who made their debuts for us so if Beresford isn't allowed neither is Robinson. We got him from Wet Bumich

Why is everybody obsessed with Watson? Harry Hough and Alan Hill far better and braver in my opinion.

You cant make a judgement on a players ability solely on statistics and the history books! I saw both Winstanley and Howard play and although Howard was a superb CH give me Winstanley every time and lets not forget that Winstanley playing CH finished top goal scorer on at least one occasion.
