He does that I agree, and often does a good job of it. But he also goes chasing around the pitch at other times too. His head, not for the first time, had totally gone and he was everywhere but where he should be, trying to make amends for his error but actually making the situation much worse. He's done it a few times. An experienced centre half at the side of him would have had a word, told him to forget about the incident and stick to his role. There's talent there for sure, but they're being let down by a lack of guidance in competitive match situations. Football teams have managers to formulate tactics and on field experienced players to ensure everyone is carrying out their designated roles. We don't have the latter and it all goes to pot.

I agree with this in the sense I go back 53 years and no-one ( including last seasons side ) would feature in my top 10-20 in any position. ps I/we have been fortunate given the size of the club to see so many great players be it at the beginning or in the twilight of their careers. Trouble is now players are on that much money playing top flight football they will not finish their careers in the lower leagues as they demand still astronomical wages and appear to find it not necessary. Choosing instead to either pack in or try their luck in foreign leagues Eg major league soccer.
Halme id say. Dont trust anderson after shocker vs derby and diaby has looked poor since he came back from injury. Sibbick is very raw and still learning. All should do a good job in league one next season much like lindsey and pinnock did after a tough year in championship previously.
