RE: Saving private ryan.. Or full metal Jacket. Full Metal Jacket is quality until the dude dies and it gets serious. Up to that point it's laugh a minute with the jokes.
I'll throw some in Cannot pick an order though, depends on what mood I'm in I think Jaws Usual Suspects Saving Private Ryan Schindlers List American Beauty Star Wars Stand by Me Crash Shaun of the Dead Airplane Dead Poets Society
Oops! Looks like somebody's still narked.
No, they're all great films. I can see you're a proper buff.

RE: Oops! Looks like somebody's still making snide remarks instead of sticking to the point... It's a thread about people's favourite films, Windy, for Christ's sake...
Stand By Me... Only ever seen it once but I enjoyed it. Shining and Salem's Lot while we're talking Stephen King - a lot of the other stuff based on his books is fairly lame though...
Good call with Stephen King. Duel was very good? what was he thinking with Maximum Overdrive. I'm with you Ketilbert, not literally. I just cannot pick a favourite. The Blair Witch Project for me is the best horror I've ever seen, but only because I was in exactly the right mood at the time and got completely emerged in it. I like to be scared but not many films have ever done the same for me. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was a top film. The Hitcher (original) Tarantino has made a few gems as well. Shakespeare in Love and anything with Chuck Norris.
I haven't seen, or read, Duel or Maximum Overdrive so I wouldn't know - is that his more recent stuff? I was thinking more It and Pet Sematary... It's like music and books, mate - not possible to pick a single example that shines, completely, above the rest. Blair Witch, Couching Tiger I haven't seen. Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are brilliant films (I enjoyed Killing Zoe too but that was ages ago, that was Tarantino?). Never seen owt with Chuck Norris, neither - am I missing much?!?
Chuck Norris - 7 times world Karate Champion and no less. I think Steven Seagal has taken the mantle now. Avoid at all costs. Duel or Dual, can't remember which, very early 70's film I think. Maximum Overdrive utterly ***** involving lawnmowers chasing people about. I think the Hartog Set aare scared to admit that Brokeback Mountain did it for them.
The Longest Day .... World War 2 classic, has there ever been a film made, withso many well known 'Stars' in it?

Only version of Brokeback Mountain I've ever seen is: http://www.angryalien.com/ The other films are worth checking out too!
