    Elvis Costello at Norwich

The night Liverpool won the European Cup. The gig was late starting, Elvis is a Liverpool fan and had tried to cancel the show once he realised the clash. Instead he booked a support band and came to an agreement with the venue that he would start at 9.45 (Full Time). This didn't go down too well with some people but they were obviously not football fans so they don't really count as human do they? Despite it going to extra time he came on stage on time but looked a bit distracted for a short while, some ****** threw water all over him and he wasn't too pleased about that (would you be on stage with an electric guitar around your neck?) The lad I was stood with (a scouser) was getting regular updates on his mobile so we let Elvis know when it got to penalties. Some of the crowd were actually watching the TV's in the bar next door so when the penalty shoot out finished a massive cheer went up. Elvis broke straight into "You'll never walk alone" and from that moment on I have never seen anybody rock as hard as he did that night, he was on fire!
