You have to laugh when a band as **** as King Of Leon can act like divas. I remember that song they did "On Call". Crappest thing since "Do You Want To?" by Frank Ferdinand.
Deffo Leadmill, tickets only available from Jack's Records (now shut down). I'll have the stub somewhere and will check the date to see which it was.
Must have done more than one then. This is the one I went to, at The Plug on 22nd October 2005. The day before Dancefloor hit the charts. Weirdly, I also got the tix from Jack's http://www.musicomh.com/reviews/live/arctic-monkeys-plug-sheffield
I was at that Maiden gig at Unity Hall, only a handful of us there mate. Can't buy memories like that. Was lucky enough to be at the London Rainbow for Bruce Dickinson's first concert as well.
Focus, Sheffield City Hall about 1972 They were fantastic, they played so many encores that the management turned the lights on in the hall and turned the power off to the stage. Jan Akkerman picked up his acoustic guitar and Thijs Van Leer moved onto the grand piano at the back of the stage. After 5 minutes the power came back on and they played a further 20 minutes. One of the first gigs I ever went to and still remains one of the very best.
Saw them in 1974 touring with Wish You Were Here. They played the whole of that and the whole of Dark Side followed by a 30-minute version of Echoes, my all-time favourite piece of music. My only disappointment was that hey didn't play any of the older stuff like Astronomy Domine or Careful with that Axe Eugene.
1988, when GnR came on stage there was a crowd surge, 2 died. there were 107,000 there. the festival was cancelled in 1989 and after that a limit of about 75,000 I think. Me and my mate Glynn were there we went to 6 Monsters of Rock in the 80's and 1990.
Go on then.. care to elaborate? I could understand if I'd have said Alexandra Burke or Wizzard but I don't really see what you find so funny with Pulp?
