Sorry yung uns, got to go back a bit.Aylotts goal against Brighton and Man City, Banksy's free kick against Rotherham ( just put mi heead darn an thout a bart florida), and take your pick of any Glavin goal against Sheff Wed.( He used to torment the Fcku out of them). Clint's Goal against West Brom away, first game in promo season, came on as sub and run riot. Again promo season can't remember who scored (a bit pissed at the time, same as now, no change then)when we won at Sheff U on Boxing Day? and went top of the league say we are top of the league. Now that was QUALITY. Just as an overider best home goal, Nicky Roe, cant remember who it was against (for) header top corner, full of power, goalie diving full length scratching at thin air, net billowing, oh buggre. Just had to laugh. Still do at the thought of it.

I know my memory's not what it was

But I can't think of any goal Ian Banks scored against Rotherham from a free kick, either at Oakwell or Millmoor.

    Me neither

I remember a great free kick to win a game, it was on a TV game as well as I remember watching Calendar goals or whatever it was called and the commentator expressing surprise they even bothered with a wall it was so far out.

Think it might have been against Burnley but not certain. Cant remember one against rotherham though.

    The one you're on about

WAS against Burnley, a last minute winner in a 3-2 victory in March 1981. It actually got us back to winning ways, as we'd failed to pick up 3 points (or was it 2 points for a win in those days?) since our unbeaten run had come to an end at Huddersfield the previous month.
