But at best, it's guesswork, in the same way that Football Manager assigns values to contracts. It's not comparable to the figure that @Archerfield quoted from the previous season, and we'll only know the true comparative, which will include all salary costs including the Board members, when the accounts are filed. The deadline is 31st March for this.

I'm expecting to see a reduction in the wages cost, but nothing like as big as the one you're implying.

And I think that's a realistic position to take. In which case, treat the fans with some respect. Be honest about where we are, the constraints we have and what we should expect to see over the coming seasons. Then people can make an informed decision on how to respond to that.

I'm probably what many on here would consider one of the rose-tinted happy-clapping mob, and even I'm annoyed. Right now I just feel that they're not being straight with us. Either that, or grossly incompetent. It just all feels very disingenuous.

I have huge sympathy for DC right now. I cannot imagine for 1 second, that he expected to have this strike force at the end of the window. But he's going to be the one getting the brunt of it, and we couldn't wish for a worse next home fixture. My worry is we've already seen Mladen is willing to appease the fans and swing the axe. I suspect he might do it again, to deflect the responsibility.

Whilst I agree with what you've posted, I don't believe people will make Informed decisions, just decisions.

The number of things which are repeated on here ad nauseum, even after being debunked, is quite staggering.

But the majority surely won't buy it a second time.

As Mladen said when he brought in DC.......

“We have got him in to maximise what we’ve got in the squad next year and get us towards the top end of the table"

Whilst DC doesn't help himself with some weird tactical nous sometimes, there's very little he can do to maximise what's currently left in the squad.
The responsibilty for having a crap defence and a non existent forward line lies with the bloke sorting recruitment and that ain't DC.

Didn't Mladen say at one point they were concentrating on the player side of things at all levels if this window is concentrating on players are the new players a lot who are on loan not our players adequate to get us into play off we will have to wait and see.
