Football is ******. In fairness we get away lightly. Pretty much every Championship club lost millions. 33.4 million for WBA. Villa lost 83 million. It’s all daft. We are somewhere in the lower end but the issues that need addressing are systemic not linked to one club
The first season paid up front April/may ish. Promised we'd get em b4 general sale and seasons start. Arrived sept. Could just have gone to club at same time. 2nd season purchased at club. Without sponsor.. Having to go to reception to get it put on. And I'll stand corrected ran out at one point. [/QUOTE] Get that Paul. I should have made it clearer Fanatics taking the losses on merchandise if any. I just find the club shop soulless. And I don't mean Matt and the other staff. But the options. As I said. In another post. Not everything online was available in the shop last week. And 2 sales lost.

Everton reporting losses for the 7th year in a row. Total losses in that period 570 million. “The people’s game”
I think thats their model though. Print on demand and internet sales (which Im told are up significantly)
I'm surprised there's no comment on the directors' report to highlight this, as it gives a misleading comparative in the turnover breakdown, if so, and one which shows the club in a less favourable light than it should.
Mmmm.. as a lot of us feared our performance off the field is mirroring our performances on it. One is reflecting the other. Get ether right and it brings the other into line.. if the team is doing well then the ticket sales merch and match day experience, atmosphere and the like all looks after itself. More money coming in more interest in our players. If you get the 'behind the scenes' right, good recruitment and contract negotiations. Scouting and academy right.. The the first team will go from strength to strength.. ie Luton Brentford Bournemouth.. who all history and fanbase wise are at best only our equals.. It's a catch22 one feeds the other but also one strangles the other. You need people on and off the field who are competent and know what they're doing.. Unfortunately we don't have ether functioning at any satisfactory level and haven't for a while..
There is though - maybe not specifically but he mentions the move to merch outsourcing being a reason for the reduction in turnover and seemed to be to be mentioning it as a positive thing, so seems obvious to me that this was the explanation. Maybe he could have mentioned it specifically though.
There seemed to be plenty wearing them when I spent the time before the game handing out Peoples Visual History flyers outside Oakwell for the Blackpool game.
Maybe it's just me but inside the stadium I seem to see a lot more of our kits from 3 or 4 years ago than I do the newer 2 kits
I've just lost 570 million over the past 7 years. what should I do? I know, I'll build a billion pound stadium. Football really is a mess, and no one (FIFA / UEFA / FA / PL / EFL) seems to want in to do anything about it. I wonder how UK football finances compare to Europe, South America, etc.
It's not in the accounts. That's a website statement to announce their release, and was only published after I'd posted the initial summary earlier in the thread. After today, no-one is going to link the two together if they search out the accounts on Companies House.
If we think it’s bad here take a look at Real Madrid and Barca with debts over a Billion. That’s despite Real being the first club to generate a Billion in one season
