Trouble is the match referee would be Dominic Cummins with both his chosen Assistants running the right wings as no-one would be allowed to run the left Wing.

No point in me sticking my oar in as this is pretty much exactly what I was going to say

I think this year more than ever in the BBS's history non-football topics have taken over. It's to be expected really and I'm sure it's providing a welcome to release to those struggling with lockdown and mental health to have an outlet with a variety of topics being discussed to pass the time and create some connection with the outside world.

My personal opinion, which I know some disagree with, is for the non-football topics to be kept within a single thread rather than multiple. That helps massively with seeing all the different things being discussed and does allow the football focused posts to shine a bit more rather than disappear quickly. It also allows those with a keen interest to post back and forth amongst themselves, and then those with little interest can avoid the whole thing - rather than having to avoid half a dozen threads on the same topic.

Sly B&stard. Thought it was Alan Little for a moment. Though on second thoughts Alan Little was anything but sly.

Personally speaking, I like it the way it is. Don't change it

I am not right clever with computers so I do not know if it can be done on this site, but other clubs fans forums like Wednesday"s & Uniteds have different sections for non football topics which i think is a lot better & then all the contributors can direct their posts & threads to the appropriate section , the reason I say this is that it stops a football thread being hijacked by contributors trying to score political points etc , just my opinion .

Sorry then, I misread this below as you saying put all non-football topics in a single thread.

I was meaning more for people who post being mindful when they start a new thread. It's a waste having say five of the top ten threads be on the exact same subject. It does impact on how user friendly the site is.

The 10pm curfew one is a great example of why that works best. For me anyway.
