It's a help as always, but I'm still left with the nagging question. In laymans terms, Do we see monthly income from those installments? And can it be used for the current running of the club.

The cash flow from transfers usually, when paid in instalments, comes in typically annually and sometimes six monthly. That cash coming in can be used anyway the directors see fit.

    Thank you.

So when I have banged on about potentially £200k a month coming in over a 4 year period (£10m divided by 48 months) it could actually be a greater sum, once or twice a year, with which to play?

I only ever use the 4 year repayment example, as my naivety can't see any terms for repayment extending beyond that amount of time. I stand to be corrected.

As I understand it JAQ's consortium is now simply JAQ and Mr JAQ, the remaining parties having sold out to the JAQs.
And if you're looking for an ulterior motive for JAQ, other than love for the club, she's now mixing with the higher echelons of FIFA through her involvement with little ol' BFC.

    Hence I posted mini consortium.

I'm not sure why you think I'm suggesting she has any ulterior motive. She has a motive, we're just not party to it. Why someone would love BFC at this stage without having to, I really couldn't tell you.

She took the Fifa Directors and Management course, which they run (or whatever it’s called).

This course has several other ‘learners’ at the same time on them.

She’s clearly enjoyed this and has taken it seriously.

I only see this as a positive, as it’s the right course to do, and can only help BFC with JAQ making better contacts out there.

You don’t need to be a current Director etc to do the course, so she could do it without being involved with us anyway.

If you think she’s pumping a million or 2 into the club just to do the course……then you’re miles off the mark.

I feel for our owners in terms of the abuse they get, I think we are run poorly, I'm not screaming for them to keep pumping money in for transfers.
I would like us to be more sustainable if that's possible, I understand we'd need serious cuts that would effect playing budgets to even get near, however I'm not convinced we use what resources we have wisely and recruitment has been poor.
Choose whatever opinion we all hold and like or dislike for how we operate, I find it very distasteful the personal abuse put their way, they are human beings with kids, families etc just like you and me.

I'm afraid we are getting left behind. We're going to be in this league a very long time. The problem the owners have got is the fan base have higher expectations and won't stand for mediocrity.Unless they pull their finger out I think next years season ticket sales are going to be grim.

I think you're looking for something that is not there and have been doing so for a while.

I have many questions regarding the decisions the board make as custodians of the club. However, I've not seen or heard anything that makes me question their integrity. I therefore see no reason to take their explanation for their continued financing of the club at anything other than face value.

I could not say the same of the two investors whose shares have been severely diluted by the incumbent board.

God I wonder why more women don't want to get involved with football. It's truly a mystery.

Maybe a daft question but what if you or I wanted to put a few grand into the club, can we buy shares as a private citizen of is that not possible?

We're not a public limited company, so you can't buy shares on the stock exchange.

You could approach the share holders and ask if they want to sell you some. The worst they could say is no. Actually, the worst they could say is yes. Our shares are just about worthless. There are no assets and the company loses money hand over fist. And they continue to issue more shares, and if they did that again, and you'd bought some, you'd have to buy more just to keep the same percentage of shares you'd bought previously.

I understood your reference to mini consortium to mean the JAQs plus the two other businessmen they originally teamed up with. I wouldn't regard JAQ and her husband as a "consortium" of any kind.
And I read your middle paragraph as suggesting that the main reason for the owners' involvement with the club could be to establish connections for business purposes. Apologies if I misunderstood you.
For my part I like JAQ, I think she's a breath of fresh air and adds - or tries to - some things we otherwise don't have in the boardroom. I also believe she genuinely has developed an affection for the club.

I’ve seen very little of Quay to be honest.

The only real time she’s appeared on my radar was the red short debacle which obviously did her no favours.
