Yeah it was absymal to be sold out of everything and shutters up at half time. You would think we were serving fresh produce that we were worried about not selling on the night and wasting. Shouldn't be so hard to make sure you don't run out of **** like frozen food, pop, warm drinks, crisps and chocolate.

The hubby and I both drove straight to the match from work, we didn't have time to cook anything to eat beforehand so we'd have had to mess about going to a different fast food place anyway which we didn't really have time for. As it was, we both had to go hungry and drink tap water.

Oo er! No, they gave us a plastic pint cup with it in. I saw loads of people after the match carrying loads of pop bottles without lids full of water, not sure what they were going to do with the 4 or 5 they all seemed to be carrying or how they got them.

Aye my little girl was promised chips (which she is never allowed usually) and she was momentarily distressed but then the match started she stopped caring. I would recommend a heavier lunch than normal rather than seeking nutritional excellence in the hallowed halls of Oakwell for evening kick offs. One pie does jnot a meal make.

I don't think BFC catering exists TBH

I do think some tin pot company that does catering does exist. So how is it the Fault of BFC... the FA hired out a venue... its up to them to ensure the catering is up to an International games standard... not BFC.

Re: I don't think BFC catering exists TBH

We asked before the game if they where going to try and get some drinks for half time we where told 'We are trying' I went down 5 minutes before half time and went to both kiosks the 1 at the Ponty end of the ground had a queue of about 20 people and a handwritten sign saying 'Warm Drinks Only'. I then walked to the kiosk at the North Stand end with no queue but all 4 staff leaning on the counter with mobile phones in their hands I asked if they had any food or drink and was told I could have Bovril or Tap Water.

Now I'm not been funny but I didn't really fancy a bovril on the warmest night of the year.

Can anyone remember the Huddersfield playoff game when the kiosks ran out of both beer and pop? Someone used their heads fcked off to Asda and filled the car up with beer and pop. Problem solved.

If last night was a Barnsley game and they had no food or drink they'd have been a riot without question

Do the FA hire out the venue? Or do they pay BFC to host an event on their behalf? I'm guessing that as we used our stewards, our turnstile operators, our stadium announcer and our catering company that it was a case of us being paid to host it for them. In which case all of the problems are the fault of bfc

Same happened at warmest i've ever been at a match the first game MK Dons ever played competitively. All pop was sold out very early but someone had the nouce to leave the ground and buy up lots of drinks from the local corner shop outside the ground. It resulted in them selling 500ml bottles of cheap looking pop with Asian labeling for the same price as Coca Cola, Fanta etc but at least it was better than nothing and people were grateful they tried for us.
