Re: I've got some rare stuff The most treasured memorabilia are my memories are the play off final at the old wembley, our visit to the millennium stadium and of course the return visit to the new wembley for the FA cup semi.
Re: I've got some rare stuff I've got the Barnsley FC (Premier Season) Subutteo players. Probably worth bugger all, but still boxed / untouched.
Re: I've got some rare stuff 380+ pin badges, some dating back to the 1930's, a scrap book made by my dad during his time as a young in on the books at Oakwell, loads of tickets dating back to the sixties, a Paul Futcher signed photo showing him giving the linesman a mouthful after being sent off, a couple of signed shirts including O'Briens from last seasons Palace away game, a Barnsley Chronicle newspaper cutting from when me and our kid got arrested after the Bradford promotion game, loads of old shirts from when I was a nipper and countless other stuff.
Whats on the front out of interest. I bought a few postcards a few years back but one I distictly remember missing out on was a teamgroup of Ferencarvos the crack Hungarian side.
I have what I believe to be ..... The oldest Matchday ticket from a game at Oakwell (1907 Jimmy Hay Testimonial v Denaby United)
Re: I have what I believe to be ..... Got quite a bit of stuff but my favorite items have to be promotion medal from 1997 its got the names of all the squad members on the back its in a plastic case and display box, and a signed home **** from the same season
Re: I have what I believe to be ..... The boots worn by Jacob Butterfield in his 100th and final game for us, signed and everything.
Re: I have what I believe to be ..... Not sure I'd have kept that one Whos was it and how did they sign it?
Wow! I've heard of some weird memorabilia but nothing like that mate, I take my hat off to you for getting them to sign it as well
Re: I have what I believe to be ..... Got a signed pair of match worn sondicos from Dave Watson, the plastics are wearing terribly now but still a brilliant gift, I also got given Darren Moores shorts at Doncaster, I would frame them but I can't afford a ten foot frame.
- Paul Wilkinsons away shirt from promotion year, not framed or owt, our young un played 5 a side with it. - Danny Wilsons training shorts from same year - Mike Sheron's indoor Adidas beckenbauer trainers - various players boots that I've worn over the years Only ever framed important tickets or programmes
Signed Ashley Ward Prem Shirt Signed Matty Appleby Prem Shirt Signed Dennis Bergkamp shirt that he wore against BFC at Oakwell (The Yellow kit with Blue Stripe across) Prem Shirt with all players signatures on it Additionally - I have a signed cricket bat from Sir Garfield Sobers A signed Sachin Tendulkar Test Shirt (That's in my garage somewhere and I really should get it out) Until recently I also had 2 signed Beckham shirts, A Stuart Pearce signed forest shirt, and a Man Utd signed shirt from my old mans testimonial but he's now got them on his wall since he came back from South Africa.
Don't own a single thing. Watching football, going to game with your mates, travelling country, having a laugh - cool Collecting things, be it pottery figurines or football tickets - not cool As for getting the clothes off a man's back and asking him to sign them, isn't that, a bit, gay?
Ian Walsh's Number 9 shirt, circa 1985, however would LOVE a copy of "Normans Conquest" Chron supplement from early 80's .......... lost mine over the years and would love a new copy.
I'm disappointed no-one has mentioned my print of Old Oakwell. I used to have a photo of Ronnie Glavin, signed on the back by Ronnie Glavin in green biro. It went walkies years ago, I suspect my brother nicked it.
Got a bottle of that red wine that was produced for the prem promotion. Chronicle supplements when we got promoted under Clarke and Hunter. All sorts of letters from the club about stuff. Grenville Firth's 'Oakwell' book from early 80's. Got a loft full of it.
