This reminds me of an old contract where allegedly the Programme Manager left as it was rumoured they were signing off timesheets of hypothetical staff members who they had 'recruited' and whose bank details they controlled. It might be worth doing a quick reconciliation
Does anyone know what the salary cap is in league 1? Most of these look more like league one wages. If we want to be a championship club, at some point we are going to have to start paying more than 10k a week unfortunately.
It might have changed, but I thought the base was 60% of turnover. But there were caveats such as players on long contracts were discounted if relegated and then players under a certain age. I suspect we'd be able to discount quite a few players out of the standard equation.
Another source of information I neither believe nor disbelieve. I don't have alternative information to challenge it but I'd never quote anything from it.
So at 6800 a week for oulare I am sure that would go a long way towards snodgrass if it is true that oulare has gone. Snodgrass is certainly a lot better prospect than oulare even taking age into consideration
Can`t say I heard or read abart 15k being offered for either to be fair, but then it could just be me. Anyone else remember these figures being touted?
Salaries reflect our position as a bottom six Championship club. Our players leave for Stoke, Preston, Birmingham and double their money. We need to pay established players a bit more (Morris, Styles, Anderson etc) and young ones less. We’ll never hold on to a good player looking at what most Championship clubs pay.
