Is it Young Nathan up too with Cosgrove tomorrow then ? Killip on bench with Marsh as a makeshift striker
In the mid eighties we sold all our top three strikers in the summer and played two youth team players and, I think a loan striker. I'd love to have seen the reaction from some of the above posters. That was the Board that eventually saw us up to the Premier League. Apparently though it's only the past few seasons that we've become a club that has to struggle to make ends meet.
I'm not sure what season or players you're referring to, but John Dennis only served on the board from 1989.
Geoff Buckle was the chairman then. He resigned when the club decided to sack Allan Clarke, November 1989, and replaced by John Dennis.
We sold Duff like we sold other managers. It’s our model. Clarkes body language is already insightful. Like Duff he was sold a dream that doesn’t exist.
