Human shield deployed, now the fans need to make sure the chairman knows that the DoF needs to follow Clarke out of Oakwell
Hourihane until the end of the season? I’m guessing they’re drafting up the season ticket renewal email as we speak…. So predictable.
Bang on, I've said the same above. ******* idiots the lot of them. Get them out now. Who the **** do they think will want the job, they've ****** over the last few head coaches with very poor recruitment.
Not surprised in the slightest. Though it is odd they took so long after Saturdays match. Hourihane has played a blinder. No coaching experience prior to returning, now head coach for 10 games. We might get a slight bounce in performance, but we all know the issues run much deeper than just replacing the head coach.
Our set piece coach who has been awful has now been put in charge to sell season tickets. Well played BFC, well played!!
This club is a ******* car crash. I don’t care what anyone says, the wrong man has lost his job. Was I a fan of Clarke? Not really, but this isn’t his doing.
No surprise whatsoever. Sormaz covered his ar$e by sacking Collins and he’s done it again. IMO he was already sharpening the knife in the ridiculous ‘Club interview’ he gave after the window. Absolutely not addressing the problem, leaving Sormaz in charge of footballing matters. I predict we’ll be worse off in 12 months than we are today.
Covering ones arse in action. Now the hunt for anyone who wants to be a manager for less than a year or is he already in place. Season ticket renewal roll up, roll up. As predicted by many. Sormaz out. Sormaz out Sormaz out.
I guess we get to see what Hourihane can do for a few games. Feel sorry for Clarke. He’s been properly shafted by recruitment as January was a disaster.
Clarke may have been dealt a poor hand but he played it badly, those players underperformed and went backwards and his game management was gash.
Also, there goes the summer transfer budget in paying off Clarke. Didn't JAQ say it cost a lot to sack Collins?! Probably a similar situation now. DKD and Phillips to be sold to try and offset some of the costs.
I feel for Clarke as what he has tomorrow it’s isn’t great, but it wouldn’t have surprised me if there had been issues between Clarke and Sormaz over the players at Clark’s disposal and this was coming. Only like for like substitutions against Burton when crying out for a change before the window closed was a way of saying the bench was very weak and more options were needed. Then after the window had shut subbing the new striker at half time at Stockport to replace him with a wing back pushed up front when we had a striker (albeit inexperienced) on the bench was for me a ‘teddy out the pram’ moment which can’t have gone unnoticed.
And yet they will still get defended, again!. And we're now getting the usual "Collins and Clarke were sh*t" comments. What disappoints me the most here though, is the players have let the manager/coach down by throwing in the towel, again!.
