The squad is massively unbalanced for sure and the movement has indeed been shocking. But players like Earl and MDG would thrive in a decent side. Phillips and DKD would walk into most sides in this league.
Don't think fans are mugs. Conor or not, if the same rubbish is produced on the pitch, who's going to buy an ST?
Clarke also wasn't helped by any of the coaches that are still here. They are all sitting pretty with their free shot at his job.
Meh. I don't think he was ever the right man, so not fussed that he's gone. But too late for this season. And the other major problem remains. So yh, meh.
He did say that yes. But then when we sold a third of his starting line up, he thought fck this am off.
It is. We've had around ten players out lately with injuries and suspensions. We have too many players in some positions and nowhere near enough in others. A completely unbalanced side.
Yeah you make a point in terms of players and the high turnover. But a manager who at least knows half the team will already have an idea. A manager from start of season is basically working it all out from the start with an entire new squad. Apologies if I'm not explaining it right but I know what I'm trying to say
Which YT , who you quoted, never mentioned. I'm not after an argument or anything but that was not the criteria.
I wasn’t suggesting it would to be fair. Just refuting the idea that because Hourihane was part of Clarke’s staff, that makes him no good.
It's hard for us to know how much notice Clarke took of the opinions of other coaches. If the head coach selected his own assistants, that would almost certainly not be the case.
I've just read an interview on linkedin that Connor did in December and he says that Darrell has been absolutely brilliant, he's chucked me into it, giving me so much responsibility, I've been in charge of set plays as well as coaching on the grass every single day and taking individual and unit meetings.
Loads and loads and loads of managers will want the Barnsley job mate. Loads. Whether they're any decent is another question.
Under normal circumstances, I'm all for a bit of tub thumping, but these lot can F right off. Until Sormaz is rendered unemployed and I see either a video interview or a statement from our owners taking ownership of the mess that has been BFC for years now. And also promising to recruit, and recruit well... I will not part with a round coin in their direction. Clarke was useless, let's be honest. But he ranked around 6th on the list of "pressing issues at BFC". He's been made a total scapegoat, plain and simple. Sormaz out.
