Hooky,if that's the case people should wait untill they release information on about four or five quality pre contract agreements then folks might pull the trigger. The fans have had enough of their bullsheeeite !

I'm conflicted on this. On the one hand it's unrealistic to expect the early bird deadline to be extended every season or it loses any kind of meaning. On the other hand by enforcing a rather steep increase in prices after Thursday you're all but killing off any more renewals. Similarly by refusing to give out all the required information for some supporters you are forcing them to pay for something they may not be able to use. The early bird period simply has to match the price release of other associated products.

The solution is surely simple. Scrap the nonsense that is early bird and just have one price. We are a club with an ever diminishing fanbase, we've all got eyes and can see Oakwell getting emptier and emptier week after week. It's absolute madness to put a penalty fee on anyone new wishing to support us and it's even crazier to increase that penalty fee a few months before the season starts. All it does is reduces the amount of people who renew and reduces the amount of new fans and that can only end one way. An empty stadium.

They say that it's so they have the money in early to spend on players but that's rubbish because if they had bothered to do any market research they would know a likely renewal figure but they couldn't be arsed to. The only survey I've had about bfc in the last few years came from some independent fans a few weeks ago. The club couldn't be arsed.
And if they need the money in early why don't they put shirts on sale early? Last year the home kit didn't come out until about 2 weeks before the season started. The away and third kits were even later.

Scrap the early bird and put a bit of effort in to getting money in early via other means. This penalty fee for not committing blindly is poor PR, lowers the fanbase, and is contradictory to the policy adopted in other areas anyway.

Let’s be honest ,no matter who we sign they won’t be good enough for those who’ve decided to stay away .Leave the deadline as it is

If it did what you said they'd have scrapped it by now.

Well it certainly can't encourage anyone to buy a new ticket or to renew later in the close season can it?

His signature looks like Dale Jennings.

I think it's Dan Jarvis. Definitely not Conor.

There’s loads of examples of Dan Jarvis’ signature online and it’s nothing like that. Also, why would the club have his signature? It’s definitely not Conor but it’s not Dan Jarvis either.

EDIT: cross post from other thread.

    Found it!

Who had Dale Jarrett, former race car driver and current racing commentator as the signature author?

How both random and spectacularly on brand of our communications department to make a stupid mistake that no one notices before they post it.

It can definitely create a bit of FOMO. Knowing that if you don't sign up now you're gonna have to pay more.

Ultimately they're rewarding fans who give early commitment. And that reward is a very very reasonable ticket price - mine today cost me less than £350 with a centenary discount thrown in. With payments spread over 4 months interest free.

If you've not already signed up at that youre probably not gonna - and thats down to the supporter as the club have done plenty.

Except I don't have all the information I need to be able to use a ticket if I buy it. And that's despite asking since last year for it

But on early bird discounts I'm just a bit against them in general, I don't blame bfc it's just a football thing.

Maybe not. If pricing is just the same rate up to the season starting it might explain the slow sales. I just can’t see their support having reason to be as miffed with stuff as many of ours appear to be.

Surely it’s a concern that we’ll end up playing in front of 6 or 7k crowds in a 23k stadium?
Just think we need to do all we can to sell more and if extending the early bird gives more chance then do it.

So this Dale Jarrett is Conor Hourihane in disguise, or vice versa.
    The plot thickens.
I wonder if you ever see the two of them in the same room.
