If you think I'm paying £41 to see my football team play at Old Trafford for the first time in 26 years, you'd be absolutely f^king right. I understand why many won't though.
Game going to be shown on sky sports football too and at least will get proper coverage as not on sky sports+ channel.
Shame about the pricing, far too much for the early round of the League cup, regardless of who is playing. However, from the clubs point of view, it's the biggest money spinner we could have hoped for. It would have been interesting what the pricing would have been had we been at home.
No way would we have approached the £40 mark. Maybe £25-£30, less than a third of the numbers sold at Old Trafford? Would have been a cracking night under the Oakwell lights though.
Probably last time ever we will play there. Those who haven't been better cross it off as next time is likely to be a brand new stadium on a new site.
I will not be attending purely out of principle. I could afford it - but that’s not the point. I don’t go away regularly anymore - but I’d have taken my lad to this. This is pure greed, probably from our club as well as Man Utd as I’m sure they were consulted on pricing. If I thought Man Utd would pick the first team then possibly. But when premier league away tickets are capped at £30, charging a div three team £42 and £20 plus for kids depending on age is absolutely shocking
You shouldn't need to VPN back in. You will actually be in Poland rather than pretending, but the outcome is the same; a Polish IP address accessing a UK service.
Saw us play there twice in 97-98 and we’ve not been back since. If it’s 20 plus years to next time I won’t be going again so it’s got to be done. Yes, it’s a rip off but unfortunately so are a lot of things these days….
My mate asked if I wanted any fuel money for the trip to Crawley, and as I said ‘no’, he said he’d get the Man United tickets instead.
Not sure the club will have had a say on ticket prices to be honest. Man Utd released their Cup pricing before the season started, and the stand opposite the away fans is also £41.
