It was a Leeds song Released as a single in the early 1970's when they were in their prime, under Don Revie. One side had 'Marching On Together', whilst the other had 'Leeds, Leeds, Leeds' on it.
Ah, the memories Barnsley66 & I with our popular radio show! <img src ="http://blog.2zy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/smashy-and-nicey_thumb2.jpg">
The team it gives out at the start of the video is this, but there's no Wilson in it? so its incorrect. Butler Eaden Fleming Sheridan Taggart Bishop O'Connell Redfearn Rammell Payton Archdeacon ----------------- Snodin Liddell
The cringy and tragic was refering to more the racism and the pitch invasions. But like I say apoligies as I dindn't know what our position was at the time, after hearing what it was like its understandable that tarn fans were happy. And as for the Marching On Together, again its before my time, i've only ever known hating leeds so for me singing 'their song' seems a bit wrong, but again after explanation I see that we had no rivaly with them so i'ts understandable that we copied it.
Never forget this day £5 accumulator with the reds in it - didn't bother looking at other results in it until blackadder scored £800+ returned - would have been £2k+ but one match was postponed (played months later & they won)
Currie didn't play as vivviene didn't rate him, bryson, biggins, liddell, and randy cammell all got games ahead of currie,he may well have been out on loan at the time.
Must be that I cannot distinguish between the mullets of Andy Peyton & David Currie !!! Wayne Biggins replaced Peyton, who went to Celtic? Biggins was technically a far better player than Peyton (his game being built on pace).
Aye but biggins was at the arse end of his career,he wasn't the same player that season, payton was a selfish maungy lovely person but didnt half know where the onion bag was,we certainly got the better out of that deal, fella at work is a Celtic fan and says biggins is the worst player they have ever had at parkhead.
