Sorry the last comment was fascetious, but the crux is no new fans equals no new cash, no new cash equals no new players, no new players equals no new fans, its a vicious circle. The board cannot and will not gamble on high wages leading us into administration, PC wont bail us out again. You can see from my username that I agree with some of your comments.
RE: Indeed hehe, you might get done for that,
btw , how does your "potential banana skin theory" hold up for this weekend, what with them not winning at home all season and us not won there since 83?
Do they cancel each other out?

RE: Indeed 2 or 3.0 to us Just beeen in pub with Tina's husband(Mr Owl) and according to him they have been w@nk all season, strikers are league 2 standard(Burton what do you expect?) and their wing backs cant deal with fast wingers... Windy will probably give me a good slapping next time I see him
Your first line is exactly what I'm saying. And, of course we both know it works in reverse.
We were so close but now we're in a "you first" situation and the momentum has been lost to foolish over-prudence. Unfortunately if GS and PC are waiting for the fans to take the initiative they're in for a long wait.

Windy has a very good point! I will continue to go to as many matches as I can thats just the way I am - but at least one of match day companions is having serious doubts about his continued attendance and the views of hundreds leaving the East Stand Upper after the last home game was self evident! Even during our darkest days I had not heard such negativity when leaving the ground. Unless we have a good result on Saturday our next Home gate will be less than 10000 and here's me having predicted 13500 for the season average! Apathy breeds apathy and all we seem to get from the club is apathy! Note I say the Club not the team. The momentum of promotion needed building on and it wasn't and the excuse of past and prospect of future administration means little to any other than the core 6/7000 fans who will turn out on a Saturday come what may! Even fans like me who have attended regularly over many decades are becoming complacent and apathetic and more than a little irritated by the present ongoing transfer saga where the manager and the chairman seem to be singing from completely different hymn sheets and both seem to contradict each other and themselves on a daily basis! We need some exitement to stimulate some interest amongst the 10000 none regulars!
Many a true word spoken in jest Wayne. I'm not a die-hard like you, never claimed to be. One thing's for sure though, a club needs to court and convert the floaters like me and penny-pinching at the crucial points of ascendancy is not the way to go about it.
You raggedy urchin.

After 4 years of pure 100% drivell why the loss of interest now, every game this season has been a cracker won or lost, and with the prospect of doing over the pigs saturday my interest is a good has it has ever been, but then again you can become too rapped up in the politics of the club hanging on every thread of information most of which is B*ll*cks, usually if the reds are going to sign a player we find out when he is stood in oakwell holding the shirt having his picture taken.
No it isn't. Ship is the misquote. The saying originated when farmers would use tar to seal up wounds on their sheep.
In your face Mr P! Get in! Da da-daaa, da da-daaa, da da-da, da da-da, da daaaaaa!

Ah an alternative use to kill lice But it's "lose the sheep" Whereas the ship expression makes far more sense
Tisn't tisn't tisn't. It was for sheep's wounds and feet.
"Spoiling the ship" is a misquote for daft people like you.
Wahay!

RE: I'll be back if things pick up..... Not really aimimg at you mate. I know you've never claimed to be a die-hard and you have lots of other interests to occupy your time. But there are some who are never off here when results are good and disappear when they're not, but then come back when things pick up again and claim never to have been away.
