Well there ya go! Learn summat new every day! A field of sheep’ would be pronounced as ‘ a vil a ship’ ( double E being pronounced as I). The expression ‘ spoiling the ship for a ha’peth of tar’ actually refers to treating sheep for maggot infestation with tar, not water-proofing a ship. Dialectal evolution through the centuries from Freydevill in 1266 via Fredvyle and Fredfield (used in a letter from Henry Oxenden to his mother, Katherine, in 1639) to the present Fredville is perfectly feasible. Benvilles may be linked to Ben Hill near Bishopsbourne, possibly once having the same owner, or owners with similar names.. http://www.nonington.com/Webb History/fredville.htm
RE: After 4 years of pure 100% drivell "Usually if the reds are going to sign a player we find out when he is stood in oakwell holding the shirt having his picture taken" Sorry BIG BROTHER but that is the biggest load of drivel I have heard for a long time! Ritchie has pontificated week in week out about needing strikers; needing defenders; not needing anybody; being close to a deal; being in negotiations; something before the deadline; working flat out all weekend; still being able to make loan signings;targets have even been named by Richie himself! What do we get nothing but the same old story week in and week out and it is this that is turning the occasional and not so occasional supporter off! But who cares if we get relegated - aslong as we can "do over" the pigs on Saturday, EH!
Who was the last player we signed that we all new about in advance............exfeckingactly we find out when they've signed all the if's but's and maybe's is to keep goons like you entertained
Oh and beating the pigs will put us 7 points in front of a team in the relegation zone, its all good.
I'll tell thi what it does it makes the management at the club look bleeding incompetent.
it fecks people off when every fecker knows all too well, including the happy clappers, that we need to strengthen the side and we just dont do it for whatever reason.
AR, GS either put up or shut up.

RE: FAO Windy Would you have complained if season ticket prices had gone up again? People are getting good entertainment value watching the reds this season.
RE: Wake up Mr Shepherd and smell the coffee. What would the outcome have been if your mate was still in charge? Could you have guaranteed promotion and financial stability?
No mate, I wouldn't......... ....but then it's down to personal criteria again. The money's not really an issue with me.
I kind of agree re the entertaining football but it's coming to nothing in the final third and i just don't feel like wasting my energy on a club that's being run like a corner shop.
I'm not saying I'm turning my back on the club but when it comes to attending matches, which, to the coffers, is what really counts, I'm finding other things more important to do.
That's just me, I'm not trying to influence anyone.

I believe........ .....the reason for all the confusion is that half of what AR says aren't his words.
I'd be more inclined to part with my time and money if I felt I wasn't being bullshitted.

He'll never reply Ridsdale showed ambition and what happened? We finished midtable, over spent by Christmas and him and his first management appointment was sacked. I still dont know why Leeds Tyke is a fan of Ridsdale.
