A poor decision from the officials after just four minutes effectively wrecked Barnsley's gameplan. The ref (Andy Woolmer) should hang his head in shame, it looked like he'd waved play on as Easter & Nyatanga tussled, but then he showed just how weak he was by allowing his assistant to over-rule him after long consultation.

The reds played exceptionally well after that, in the circumstances. Bobby Hassell was immense after replacing Nards.

We told it - as we always try to, like it was! Tiredness caught up with Barnsley towards the end of the game and just when it looked as if there was a glimmer of hope, the fresh legs of Mackie came on to profit from the lethargy that was creeping in.

Even Paul Sturrock admitted that Lewin's sending off seemed extremely harsh.

    Night all.

listening to your linesman doesnt make you weak

if it was the other way round, nardiello was through on goal and got foulded, the ref didnt see it but the linesman did then you along with all other barnsley fans would heavily criticise the ref for ignoring his assistant who said he had seen a foul.

The ref was less than 10 yds away from the incident....

....the linesman was more than 20 yds away. Draw your own conclusions.
