It depends on how known "Project 2025" is to the electorate over there. Promising to remove rights (and body autonomy) from women, the LGBTQ+ community and immigrants is a good way to make a large number of voters vote against you - and that is the good parts of their plan to remove the constitution and install a Christian dictatorship - although it is only supply-side Jesus that they worship.
It's utterly depressing that people are going to put this man back in power. On top of his character as a human being, he's literally putting the planet in danger, with his insane views on the climate crisis and his planned attack on clean energy. He's purposely accelerating the increase in emissions output. The inevitable outcome is World War 3, as the planet becomes simply inhospitable for millions. His standing down is looking a very shrewd move. Harris is proving popular, record breaking donations flooding in and it’s reflecting in the polls.
The real tests are yet to come for her. Yep, they’re probably trying to take advantage of the fact Obama hasn’t ‘yet’ endorsed her, but he’s not the only one - it’s only a few days since Biden stood down. The fact of her being specifically appointed as a ‘Border Czar’ is also a bit contentious, depending who’s saying it. She may have upset the Jews today, but yesterday she was the new darling of the younger voters, blacks and Hispanics. Elon Musk seeks to have fallen out with the idea of funding Trump, and Nikki Haley’s voters now jumping in with Harris. Things are moving very quickly in all directions. it’s going to be a brilliant contest.

I think they're panicking because they basically decided it was over against Biden. Trump had something to get his teeth into with Biden just like Hilary and that the only way he wins the swing states. Now his path to victory is unclear
Correct. What’s worrying is, even if Trump loses this time and eventually goes away, the base remains and they are ripe for someone else to plug into. For a fairly new nation that’s seen as a world leader, they’re pretty broken.
