what does our club do to stop it? It's not everyday we get something like this to celebrate and so some were bound to go on. You could have bet your mortgage on it. Cricketing stewards manage to keep people off, but not Oakwell stewards. It's been going on for YEARS people running on and yet our club still have the same old plan to stop them. Piss easy stewards that are easy to run past. After all these years, it's time they thought of a plan B.

 

If you've got the video of the game look at the first time fans came on just before the end and keep watching the top right hand corner for her that doesnt know how to spell football. everyone leaves the pitch except her who stands there for ages before being helped back to her seat by a steward. How about helping her to a police cell instead?

That bich was so arrogant, she wouldn't get off the pitch, she should have been caught , stripped, tarred and feathered, and paraded round the streets of Barnsley. Definatley drugged up. (N)

 

On the whole our fans were fantastic yesterday

Tremendous support throughout the game. But why do they feel the need to go on the pitch? Every other fan of every other team gets to celebrate with the players after a victory like ours yesterday. But we Barnsley fans just get to see a bunch of idiots run on the pitch and our heroes running for cover to the changing rooms. I go to watch the players, not the crowd. I want to see them do that thing where they hold hands run and dive on the pitch. I want to see them dancing about in front of us so I can applaud until my hands are raw. Every big game we are denied this by the selfish ones who invade the pitch and prevent the rest of us from seeing the players. You'll get some half wits come on here and tell us it's all about passion. No it's not. You can be as passionate as you like in the stands. You can jump about like a loon and scream until you're hoarse. The pitch is for the players the stand is for us fans.

Sorry for the moan on this tremendous weekend, but after every game like this I always feel a little short changed.

 

Every effort should be put in by the club to identify these people

It may take time and it may take money but they should be banned from Oakwell for life.
A lot of them like Lenzo said stuck their silly faces in front of the camera's so start with them.
Until the club starts banning these people, or even worse we end up playing behind closed doors or points docked, these idiots will carry on invading the pitch.

If the Police had patrolled the perimetre of the pitch at the end with dogs , which with hind sight I believe they should have, how many people would have been bleating on here about heavy handed police tactics?

We have got to stop the mindless minority spoiling any kind of celebration for the vast majority of sencible fans.

They can claim that those on the pitch were more passionate all that they want but I didn't see any of them crying like those around me in the stand were.

One had to sit down as his legs had gone weak, he sat for a few minutes after the final whistle with tears in his eyes before saying in a voice that sounded so defeated 'we might as well go, theyre not ocming back out because of them'. Why should this man have had such a special day ruined by the same ******* that attend every big game?

The procedures in place yesterday were dissapointing as well, no attempt at all was made to stop anyone or even discourage them.
