Well we are currently playing in the championship & last night he was certainly better than two of our regular championship players, I would also add that the lad has been messed about & clearly has not had the development he should have had, he has talent but is not the finished article , time will tell .
I think to claim that as an assist is stretching it abit. He went into a challenge, the ball canned off him and ended up at Morris. Also playing Odour on the right, why?. He's a one trick pony. All left foot so all he wants to do is come inside. When he finally beats a man, which isn't that often, does have a decent shot on him. no. Does he put in a decent cross, not often. Does find a red shirt, not often.. Just try him on the left ffs.. see how he does. Cos playing him where he's been playing, he's going to get binned.. for sure.
I was actually commenting on last nights match whilst you have analysed him overall & if you were to ask me for an assessment of him overall I would say the club have failed to develop him in a way that has done him no favours, he came into the team as a young raw wing back & looked green but promising since then he has been messed around in numerous positions , left out then brought back etc, he has not been out on loan & they have not tried to concentrate on coaching into any specialised role , i remember years ago when we messed about with a very promising Anthoney Kay who eventually was drummed out but managed to resurrect his career , I have a feeling that this could happen with Odour , I feel there is a player in there but he needs developing in a particular role to ensure we get the best out of him, I see him on the left hand side of midfield but I am no expert, all this is just my opinion
I never rated Kay. To be honest I can't remember last player I truly rated that came through our academy. Maybe Butterfield at a push.
I don’t know how anyone can be annoyed at Oduor starting considering the alternatives. There’s only Morris who deserves a start up top in my opinion.
I think defenders are easily coached and it doesn't take much to make an outstanding defender. Whereas strikers and midfielders don't come along so often. Maybe that's why I see defenders come through and go a bit meh.
I thought Stones who has gone on to be arguably world class , if you consider he was selected for the world team of the tournament in the world cup finals in Russia & Holgate are a massive credit to our club & are testament to what has been achieved in the past & hopefully repeated in the future
It wasn't exactly laid on a plate, to call an assist. But watching it back, it looked to me that he knew who he was playing it to, rather than it cannoning off him. He definitely should be playing on the left. I'd have Brittain on the right of midfield, and Williams at right back, and keep Morris in the middle.
They are playing in the championship because both the previous manager & the current manager have selected them & that is fact , to say they are playing by default is your opinion but is not fact , whether you or I like it or not they are currently championship players & again that is fact not opinion
