    I agree with DT, Hemsy.

It's quite sad when we think that our biggest game of the season is against Yeovil (no disrespect to them).

for once im in agreement with you phil, for a guy who never goes to oakwell he spends a lot of time on a barnsley forum taking cheap shots at the club and its fans, i would say that he was a fowl or a blunt tbh

why haven't you picked bobby for the squad then? he's the biggest man, the biggest player and biggest ambassador the club has. surely for a game so big, he's first on the team sheet? i don't understand

Re: how freekin sad is it that we are saying that tommorows game is huge..

Take it all in context, Hemsy. That is, Yeovil are one of the clubs in the championship that we would expect to beat in any season. They have just been promoted to this league and are the favourites to be relegated. Fair play to them if they survive, of course.

But to say that it's a massive game for us .....is.....actually... sad.

We should be saying that the game against Burnley was massive. But, no, we expected to lose. That is equally sad.

so you dont think a game between bottom of the league(us) against 3rd bottom(them) where the result, as MrC says, will have a massive effect on our season in terms of not only tryin to play catch up but also the appointment of a new manager a big game ?

We don't have any midfielders without physicality.

I think it's a fair statement - not showing any disrespect at all to Yeovil in saying that, after being in this division for 7 years our biggest game of the season is against a newly promoted side battling relegation is a sad state of affairs.
The club have not moved on.

Predictive bleedin' text. That was supposed to say we don't have any midfielders with physicality.

I've a feeling about tomorrow, if we start anything like our last home match I think it could turn very nasty indeed. I think a few spleens will be vented; not necessarily at Mickey Mellon, but directly at some of the players. http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/images/icons/icon8.png

I'd say it's an important game but it's a bit early to be think it's make or break. Yeovil are a good well managed club and all respect to them is what I say.

Phil is right it is the biggest game of our season so far tomorrow. It doesn't make a difference that it is Yeovil in fact it's more important because it's Yeovil. We could be hopelessly cut adrift if we don't win tomorrow.

    It's not

Hope we win tomorrow but if we do I think MM will get the job and I don't think he's the right man. But losing would mean we need another miracle escape and I'm not convinced that it's possible to repeat that kind of thing.

Jeez, there are some proper tw*ts on here... Of course it's a big game, the league table makes it such, nothing to do with the relative merits of either club or their history. It strikes me some people on here just like to throw their weight around and abuse people. Really big, really hard. Dragon Tyke is clearly just an arse. Agree with HT, he speaks more sense than most on here...and he's entitled to his opinion about what team should be picked.
