Think it's simply the case of a yearly increase in population: more people higher death rate average?

I wouldn't read too much into that, numbers always seem lower on Sundays and Mondays for some reason so I think it's too early to say we're over the peak

Does seem to have been the case but less people dying is still a positive let's hope the trend continues.

Rate of infections should be slowing if the lockdown has worked - Deaths you probably need another week to get the full impact though the fact they are dropping when we did initial restrictions is a hopeful sign - for some reason the figures seem to be better over the weekend if we can keep below 500 tomorrow as well it will be a very good sign. Dont forget we did the lockdown in stages and it only fully kicked in 2 weeks ago

This weekend is 14 days after Mothers Day, when lots of people went out and got drunk, visited the coast, and then mummy dearest catching and spreading anything going. Expect a big rise tomorrow and then a gradual tail off outside London. The photos of Londoners crowded onto the tubes mean that it will carry on for another week or so there.

Keep in mind the incubation period is upto 14 days not a exact 14 days. In fact 14 is the high end hence why self isolation if you have been in contact with someone with symptoms ends after 14 days.
Agree tomorrow's figures are interesting to see if we have the start of any kind of trend.

Maybe but gives us some hope I got hammered on here for saying I didnt think that we would reach 1000 deaths a day. People were expecting the worse, I dont think we will get to 1000 deaths a day unless we come out of lockdown too soon

Average time from contracting the disease to showing symptoms is said to be 5 days.

I've also noticed the deaths and cases have gone down again today. I agree though, if it goes down again tomorrow it might be that we're onto something good here and that it's working and going down and the hope of life returning to normal could be on the horizon.

True, but it's good to be optimistic in times like this.

Number of new cases and deaths were lower last Sunday and Monday, it was said at the weekend that was due to how recorded ! Tomorrow’s will be key, the other things to remember are we didn’t lock down in the same way France, Italy and Spain have and we keep being told we’re 3 weeks behind. I’d filly expect numbers to be around 800 per day for a while sadly and we may need a more stringent lockdown.

I would expect 850-900 announced tomorrow.

    Really hope I’m wrong
