    Stones has undoubtedly become better than Macca but as he only played for a season mostly at right back. I think Mick was better for us.

    I'd have Futch at side of him mate. I allus wonder how far Futch would have gone on in todays game. A joy to watch.

    Macca still played a lot of international games though !
    It’s an unanswerable question as to whether Stones has become better .

    I just know that Macca gave me a load of enjoyment and memories are there forever

    Managers, particularly inexperienced ones, don’t tend to be in favour of their club appointing someone who could possibly do their job better than themself.
