Big Val played to the strengths and weaknesses of his players.

I would have loved to see Vals team in the flesh so to speak.Because of the intensity I think the supporters would have been buzzing watching us out play and certainly out fight so called bigger teams than us.

 

I watched a few of his Watford games, it definitely didn't look anything like the tactics we had with him - I think he was forced to try and play a certain way at Watford because of the players and because of the expectations from the culture of the club and fans - in recent times anyway, they soon forgot old Graham Turnip 'ed.

 

Mowatt has played 41 games out of 43 in the championship this season for West Brom who lie in 5th place. Not sure he's "ruined" his career!
