Best Barnsley manager since Bassett. Gone downhill since. What a shame!

Colin was absolutely spot on, in his assessment of him. It was a freak season.

With all due respect Besiktas are one of the biggest clubs in Turkey and perennially exist at the top end of the league.

Still a great season though, whether some of it was down to luck or not. And for Dazza Dike, we had him at his best as there were no long term injuries!.
West Brom were in the Play off places when they got rid, and just look at how bad his replacement Steve Bruce did there.. be careful what and who you wish for lol.
That's a good point about what sort of teams he's better suited to, as we were obvious relegation fodder again when he joined us.
Maybe a job with a top half League One team next, and he can go for promotion.

MSN? City press but don’t constantly put the ball in the air & have to compete for headers all game.

Was going to make this point. I think even high press teams like Liverpool have tempered their tactics somewhat. Teams have adopted tactics to break the press, when I’ve watched Watford they’re not playing a press like we did in the Covid season that’s for sure.

One of the only ex managers I'd have back. I didn't care about the football, we were winning every week in the championship. I'd take winning most weeks over sexy football any day.

MSN = Messi, Suarez and Neymar when all at Barcelona mate. Suarez was a work horse, Neymar worked harder back then but Messi was still predominantly that lurker who barely tracked back unless he had lost the ball himself or was close proximity. Bad example to use imo :D

Yeah exactly Sp mate, regardless of the so called negative style of footy we played. You can't educate certain people though, who say it was crap all of the time, and who refuse to give credit where it's deserved!.

I remember seeing Mads pressing one of Chelsea's centrebacks on their own goal line and thinking "this is ******* mental."

    I loved it.
