Obviously based on the posts I’m not in the majority. But I’d rather him stay. He’s a grafter and I think he would be decent enough I’m league one. Before anyone replies saying being a grafter isn’t enough, I get that. But there are so many who offer less than vic and don’t graft either.

of course if for his wages we can get an upgrade then fine but I’m not sure we would.

Them who offer less than Vic & dont graft should also shown the door along with Vic , he is supposed to be a striker but he simply does not score goals , he has been at Barnsley since 2017 & made 76 appearances & scored 7 goals, that is 7 goals in 5 years as a striker , we are not a charity it is time for a parting of the ways & maybe a move might be in the best interests of Vic as it might kick start his career & he is a very likeable lad who we all wish well but it just simply not worked for him here , if we are to make a go of it next season we will not do it relying on Vics goal imput .

When something positive comes out of the club I shall sing from the rooftop pal ! Things are improving on the surface. However, I am a realist . The board re shuffle is still in its infancy. I really like the look of the new manager/coach, I hope he gets the backing he deserves. Do I believe he will? I'm not sure. From what I've been told we are in a very poor financial position . Worse than what we have been told . However, I've decided I'm going to renew again and give the new people in charge a deserved chance . I've been watching the reds since 1981 and it wont change .

Personally I know viv is not good enough. However, if I had the choice of him or Cole, Cole would be gone first

He's been here four and a half years, barely scored any goals and never established himself as a regular starter. I think he's had enough time to impress and it's now time to let others have a go who might well do better for us. I don't want him blocking the path of guys like Marsh and Bremang.

Its nowt personal against Vic, but him being a trier and a nice lad hasn't worked out so far for him and our club. And it probably never will because he just doesn't score the amount of goals needed.
If we were signing him from somewhere else right now and looked at his awful goals/games stats, what would we think about that!.

Is Viv the tea lady ? Personally I prefer Cole because he is a genuine goal scorer with pace who I thought got a raw deal last year when we were playing such as Odour up front , however I think there is a strong case for moving Viv, Cole & the bone idle Iseka on , Aitcheson ,Marsh & Bremang being the replacements .

I would not be too concerned , I was reading an article earlier from a Portsmouth rag saying that they are currently linked to 17 players according to local news , there are some active agents me thinks plus their rumour machine has gone into overdrive .

Any idea when the deadline is for Victor and Romal to sign before we release a statement saying we've withdrawn the offers? They have kept us waiting long enough. Time to move on.

Well contracts run to the end of June, so it's only a few more days. They may have told the club already of their intentions, just that it's not been made public.

The fact they weren’t back for pre season training hopefully tells us they’ve moved on thank god .

Wouldn’t have even bothered offering either of them deals to be honest. At least Vic was a trier despite not being good enough. Palmer didn’t do anything to warrant another deal last season.

Maybe we offered Palmer a contract because we're entitled to compensation if he moves on? Think he's been at the club since he was 15.
Only reason I can think of as his effort and overall performances were dire.

It doesn't seem that long back Palmer went off to a standing ovation.Definitely a player in there just not consistant enough.
Another club could be just what he needs to get his mo jo back.

Palmer’s at least got ability & I can see a way in which he can perform.

I just don’t get it with Victor, I appreciate he may work hard but we need a lot more than that. He has very little quality & he needs to be moved on especially with how many forwards we already have.
