To be fair, he's played 127 minutes in the league for us. No goals, 1 assists. His link up and hold up play look pretty decent from the cameos I've seen of him
i know that. I just wouldn’t wish a “horrible time” on anyone that I had no axe to grind with. Especially someone who has actually been a very decent person and a hard worker at the club I support.
I saw a lad playing well, in brief appearances as he got to grips with Duff's system and what was expected of him. He finally got a first league start and suffered an injury that's seen him miss the last three months of football. I think he's a decent option, different to what we've got, so it's good that he'll be back involved from next month. As it is with Luke Thomas, giving us the option to revert back to 3-4-3 (which would also suit Josh Martin). We've also added Watters who'll be getting closer to a start I imagine. Aitchison and Norwood scored last time out. Cole has 8 goals already. Phillips and Benson have been scoring from midfield. And we've four days of the window to potentially add more bodies. And we're 6th. With two/three games in-hand over our nearest competitors. I believe most would have taken 'this' at the start of the season.
Let's not forget, a certain section of our fan base genuinely said we'd actually get relegated. Just no pleasing some of us.
Burton are ***** they will be lucky to stay up, he scores for Bolton where he should get more chances he could be a championship player again. Plus he gets paid more. Good luck to him.
To be completely fair, from what we saw of each of them in a BFC shirt, that wasn't a completely outlandish observation at the time.
If Victor's worth that how much is cauley worth? I can still remember it now. Toney always was worth more at that time scoring for fun in league one, strong, fast, could finish, good in the air, younger than cauley...
That's definitely true. People wrote Dike off after 30 minutes. Hourihane got slated by some. Patience is a virtue
Oh definitely. But it doesn't change the fact that Woodrow's performances for us were significantly better than Toney's. I thought he looked like he had potential for us, but never in a million years did I have him down as a top Premier League striker.
Woodrow was in the peak of his career for us bar the last 18 months. Toney was a kid at 19 same age as Marsh is now. But I didn't think he would do so well either.
When Toney was banging em in. Cauley couldn't hold a candle to him. When the fee for Toney was his true value. At the top of his game. Cauleys value was not, as some blindly quoted. the same or even above. (Even at the top of his game also) It was never the case.
To be fair, Scott has shown himself to be a sexist w@nker, so take what he says with a pinch of salt.
Very strange transfer. I liked Vic, and think he'd have done a job for us in this league. Wasn't upset when he left though, didn't look like he was going to be any better than we have. But he's managed to get a big money move there off the back of a 3 month purple patch really. Honestly think it won't work out, and can see him being moved on this time next year.
"all season". You make it sound like he's played 30 games, when in reality, he's started once in the league and come off the bench 3 times.
I always liked Vic as a player for us ,always gave it his all and was an honest player. Now he's with Bolton I'd be lying if I said I wanted him to do well for them, they are one of our rivals and he's no longer our player, why would I?
