That's a more than somewhat decent post. ....for a late night drunkard.........who vaguely remembers the salient parts of a recent early afternoon beery encounter with our marketing mini messiah.......I detect a pattern emerging here...and will raise a glass to further entertainment whilst an overworked liver turns Whitey slowly to Yellowy.

What? That a club cheated and thus had points deducted which ultimately relegated em?

We stayed up, no matter how folk dress it up. Got ten points more than we managed last season without Hill...

Wouldn't that be a hypocrite rather than a coward?

This thread wasn't actually intended as being anti-berk ( as much I dislike the arrogant fat ****), I was just pointing out than we have been on a downward trajectory since he started unsubtly lowering our expectations.

I'd argue that started before he joined.

I wish I'd saved the letter I received from Mark Robins asking me to renew my season ticket. Nowt in that about lowering expectations.

Have you ever believed a sales letter before?

By the way, I'm not talking about managers.

I made the mistake of believing Ben Mansford's last spring.

The point is, there was never any negativity from Robins, and unlike the berk, he never made disparaging remarks about the club, the club's history or the supporters.

I think a lot of people believed Ben & Flitcroft last summer so I'll let you off.

Oh, I agree about that. I never really warmed to Robins but he did a job and I thought he was a nice fit for us. It's a pity he fell out with the owner.

I can't find a fault with your logic about "The Berk" when you put it that way. Some of his comments were ridiculous. That's what turned me against him more than anything. And playing with no strikers on the field away at Hull in a kind of 4-6-0 formation, which changed into a 6-4-0 formation when we were up against it. AND his diabolical treatment of Bobby Hassell.

    Re: "Chuffin Fleetwood".

Difference being, we had spent 70% of our history one step below the top division.

Fleetwood have spent 95% of theirs give steps below the football league.

"I've seen the history books - what history?"

Who says something like that about the club they are supposed to be representing, promoting and working in the best interests of?

Or, since the board subtly decided to lower the budgets.... which led to the departure of Robins, and the appointment of Hill who agreed to work within those lowered budgets. And when things weren't going well, he kept stating how difficult it was working within those budgets. A bit like if I was given a ***** lawnmower to cut someones grass, and they moaned. I'd be saying "heyup, look at the ******* flymo thaz gid me".

He was a full weight moaner, Keith. Never his fault. Quite the lovely person at times too. But I reckon most managers would have struggled to take the club forward under the circumstances presented to Keith in June 2011. And to be fair, he made a good fist of it for four, five months. But our board pulled the rug, **** themselves, whatever you want to call it. It was all downHill from there like.

“Too many times I’m being told these are League One and League Two players, but they’re not,” said Hill.
“They’re Championship players and they’ll go down in history when you look at the history books at the end of the season. These players are going to have Championship experience under their belts, but they’ve got to be given time to expose themselves to the enormity of the Championship - and so have I because I’m an unbelievable manager.”
