Don't forget the scousers booing the National Anthem and Prince William because apparently its 'traditional' for them. I mean you might not like it or the Royal Family but is so just keep quiet, it portrays a **** image and that's what we need as a nation right now, more negative publicity!
the simple answer is a 25-30 points deduction on next season, lets see how "the so called fans" like that
So when our lot smashed up the pub in Huddersfield or behave like idiots we should get points deducted? The club cant be responsible for every fan. A decent jail sentance and a lifetime ban from all grounds would be a deterrent.
Police are not at fault. Re their numbers. It's the responsibility of the club to pay for policing inside the ground. Clubs choose the cheaper option of stewards. So for such an emotive game. The club should have anticipated a pitch invasion and possible issues. Hope the guy responsible gets Jail time as Jay says.
He was stupid to do it and dumb to think he would get away with it unless he wasn't bothered. He shouldn't see the inside of a Football stadium anywhere ever again.
There has been a degree of lawlessness and anarchy around football for decades but it just seems to be getting worse this season. I've said it many times before but it still baffles me how so many flares get into football grounds. That scene last night was appalling and thank goodness the two sides weren't actually fighting each other on the pitch. Idiots running on the pitch is bad enough but to have so many holding flares while marauding across the field was just incredible. You could ask why weren't they stopped but if a mob is determined to break through a thin line of stewards nothing is going to stop them. It's time for some radical changes at all football grounds I think. They've done it before with the imposition of all seater grounds so it can happen again. Putting tarpaulin across the bottom rows not only looks rubbish but is totally ineffective. Look at those fools in the Sheffield end jumping up and down on it like monkeys last night when they scored. Some deterrent that, eh? I like the way a lot of continental clubs, especially in Germany, deal with the problem. There is a fairly high wall surrounding the pitches with seating starting immediately above that. It's better than a fence at ground level, or a moat, or those pointless horizontal bars/cables surrounding the Wembley pitch. Whatever the clubs do, and they surely HAVE to do something, will not cure all the problems. It's a total disrespect for the law and general good behaviour that is the main problem now. You can't educate these people and, sooner or later, somebody is going to get killed on a football pitch. It might be a "fan". It might be a referee (imagine if someone like Gary Willard was allowed to referee at Oakwell again!). It might be a club official, or player, or one of those ineffectual stewards in the wrong place at the wrong time. If these retards can get their flares/smoke bombs in surely a knife, or a gun, wouldn't be beyond them. I dread the day but I think it's coming. A certain element of our society is way beyond caring about decent behaviour so some day soon one of them is going to land more than a head butt on somebody.
The royal family, with unaccountable power, are an anathema in a supposed modern democracy , the French had the right idea.
I turned off and missed it due to cringing over the sky pundits and commentators creaming over Forest getting to Wembley. I hope they lose in the Final now because they're all talking as if it's a fore gone conclusion that they will be promoted.
Not if the incidents are away from the ground, the club cannot be responsible for those idiots. It’s different when trouble happens in the stadium, the club are responsible.
No aggression in my post just shocked that people are connecting billy sharp getting headbutted with brexit..
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been on the side of the ‘come the revolution brother’ brigade, and no affinity with the royals whatsoever. However it was a national event watched over the world so just saying I don’t agree with stuff like that.
Shocked???!!! Really. Easily shocked pal. Anyway, some of us do think that the division caused by the illegal Brexit campaign has led to an increase in aggression and lowering of respect for each other. You are free to think otherwise.
