Best bet is to get in touch with a local Councillor he says.

If any of the gaffers get an email from a Councillor, they crap themselves.

I do put things into correct bins thank you. I make extra trips to the recycling centre.
Still my two grey bins are full. I have two disabled children and two OAPs in my home with a variety of medical needs that cause waste.
Don't follow? Well it's not hard is it, everyone's circumstances are not the same as yours so don't make assumptions.

Thank you. I'll probably ride it out now as I can make a extra trip to the recycling centre this weekend but it's good to know for future reference.
Also good of you to share these updates. I'll mention the lack of communication in my email if I do.

Emptying bins on the main roads at a much slower pace due to adverse conditions underfoot or sitting in their vehicles and waiting for gritters to fill back up at the depot and then re-grit the roads so they could try again.

It's not a conspiracy, they don't think "I know, it'll be a right laugh if we play cards all day in a freezing cold wagon when it's minus 2 and we stink of bins. That'll show Daz who's boss".

No worries. I've only chanced upon it because I've been out for a pub lunch with him and his Mrs today. He's had a day off work and had to listen to me grilling him about why my Mum's bins were 6 days late. I got a right earful!

That’s fair enough and there will always be exceptions, we have 4 adults at our house and manage fine in fact the grey bin is usually only half full.

Yeah either a trip to the tip or put them in your empty bin, don’t forget it will be a shorter than normal wait till next empty, assuming they catch up.

We have 5 adults and 2 teenagers.
It's not a contest though my point was someone may only have 2 adults and have many reasons why they fill the bins and non collection is a big issue.
You made a huge generalisation using yourself as the barometer. Life is full of much more variety than that and I think you perhaps over reached in your simplification.
However you're entitled to your viewpoint and I have expressed mine so I am happy to leave it at that.

Well our blue got collected as scheduled, but still no sign of black being done. Probably just have to wait until next Friday now for next scheduled so it'll be 4 weeks between collections. Not a problem for us, we can just about manage but there are some proper overflowing bins in the village and now bags being piled up next to them.
