To be fair to Hemsworth, I do actually think we have done ok this season against the top half sides. Like he says the worrry seems to be when we are playing teams in the bottom half. Not a clue about the top 6 or top 3 though.
Leave me while but i'll look up stuff and tomorrow and i do a few things. i think we got a point against toon at home. 3/4 WBA didnt we beat forest at home 4 points against cardiff? blackpool 6 points any celeb juice is on.
We've got one point out of a possible 18 against the top 6 this season. 1 points out of a possible 9 against the top 3. The highest we've won against is hull in 7th. Points against the top 3: 1 Points against the top 6: 1 Points against the top 10: 13 Points against the top 12: 20 Points against the bottom 3: 7 Points against the bottom 6: 8 Points against the bottom 10: 15 Points against the bottom 12 not including ourselves: 23
Plymouth???? Are they still even in the football league?? How far back are we going to make your argument valid?
2 full seasons. cant remember who went down last season and this isnt a full season. quite a big margin MIN 0.6 margin between teams that could have gone up and teams that went down.
That changes it massively. According to statto.com we are 6th in the table for games against top half but 21st against the bottom half. Theirs is based on positions when we actually played them. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2011-2012/versus-top-half/full http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2011-2012/versus-bottom-half/full You replied to the wrong post too. Wouldn't have happened on the old site, oh no!
newcasle 1 points WBA 4 points Blackpool 6points 1.8 PPG 0.8/1.0 PPG on teams that went up on them that went down. Big Difference.
I agree, let's blame the site I think basing it on their position at the time is flawed because for the first few weeks positions meant nothing. A team could lose it's first game and be at the foot of the table but finish first. According to the stats on where they were at the time we'd look awful for losing to them on the second day of the season but in reality it was to be expected as they finished top.
thats what ive done P72. full season we did a lot better against teams that went to play in prem. 1.00 plus better.
Derby did well over four games. Hull did well over seven away games. Birmingham have done brilliant over the past 15 games.
