You've insinuated twice now that I don't attend matches? Yet more ********.

I don't need to explain anything. Johnsons record so far has been exceptional and although today was poor, on the whole things have been far more enjoyable since Wilson was sacked.

Or we've been playing **** teams and when we have played better ones results have been worse. Don't let the facts get in the way of your stupidity though. Unless you can show me factually that I'm wrong. Not opinions or some such ******** just factually that results against Preston, Bristol City and **** U were better than the first round of games. Can you do that for me kitty.

Results in last 8 games compared with same results against those teams earlier in season.

Gillingham - win win 3 points each
Coventry win, draw 6 points to 4
Wallsall win, lose 9 points to 4
Oldham win, win 12 points to 7
Orient draw, win 13 points to 10
Preston draw, lose 14 points to 10
Bristol City draw draw 15 points to 11
Sheff Utd lose, Win 15 points to 14.

    Progress?

We are where I expected us to be before a ball was kicked. Top ten, maybe a flirt with the playoffs. So I'm satisfied. However, I didn't anticipate us sacking a manager again and signing so many loan players. But then, we always sack a manager and loan umpteen players a season so I really ought to stop being surprised when it happens.

Nice that we've got summat to play for with just a few games remaining though.

I agree we are exactly where I expected us to be when the season kicked off. Shame we had to sack a manager and go back to short term loans (and thinking) to achieve it. Fantastic that we still have something to play for and I can see us getting 6 points from the next 2 games.

It's about constructing a narrative to meet your own view of things . Though if you don't know by now it's probably useless me telling you.

**** me jim lad. Here's a stat - when Wilson was sacked we were 17th or 18th. Johnson had us up to 6th. Regardless of how anyone defines the word "better", 6th is most definitely "better" than 18th. I will see you at Colchester though if we're playing that card.

I have been watching since half season pass stage, we seemed to find a way when we had 5 in midfield, to me games are won n lost in midfield, if today winnall was a midfielder I think this was a bad decision, tbh I think he's been poor since I have been watching although he seems to have a messiah tag from the first half of the season. Also Cameron Stuart has offered nothing as far as I'm concerned would have much preferred bailey in there with the other midfield clan. Declan John, Cameron Stuart ,,,lee Johnson loanee signings have offered no more than the signed players we have ,, I heard someone calling him the tinkerman whilst at Oldham, changed too much in my eyes.....

If we lose/draw against Colchester then over 9 comparative games we will have less points. We have won games to take us up the table that no disrespect but I'd have expected us to win if you were manager. When we started playing better teams again we stopped winning. We have a team that can beat the ***** teams and will probably lose to anyone good. Nothing has changed all season in that respect. We still have a chance of reaching the play offs because the division has 10 teams exactly like us in addition to the 4 really good ones and **** U who are between the top 4 and the next 10.

Our poorest players yesterday were all Johnson signings in John, Stewart and Wildsmith (although Wildsmith was forced upon him). Can't say that fills me with optimism for next season.

After the Crawley game, and our position then, I'd have been glad to say we had nothing to play for!!

We get it Jim. You're still upset about Danny Wilson being sacked.

No I'm well over it just not sure why people are pretending anything is different. The only game I have seen any difference in was Preston where we played excellently (for 45 minutes) We are pretty much where I thought we would be at the start of the season. Maybe 3/4 points better off. I thought we would be fairly average until January them improve but not have enough quality to merit going up during a total rebuild.

I actually like Johnson. He has my full support. I think he will do well if he allows the spreadsheet to do more of his recruiting. We have an unbalanced side and can't play the way the manager wants (with wingers) a problem inherited from Wilson who thought he had the positions covered by was let down by the Run Fat Boy Run twins. He has also had the bad luck of having the player who propelled us up the table in Davies injured and having to scramble for cover given Turnbull's already existing injury. I think and hope we will kick on next season if we can finish our team building.

On the other hand we find ourselves once again over reliant on loans not building for the future or in Mansford's words 'adding value' which any fan must find disappointing. Taking a player like Jabo or to an extent Ramage on loan seems to fly in the face of all our stated aims (although he is a decent player he is early 30s and not exactly one for the future). It's difficult what we gain from players like John or Stewart who are blocking progression for our own players. Even players like Pearson and Waring are very unlikely to be our players so what gain do we have for developing them for other teams. Managers aside at the first sign of trouble both under Wilson then Johnson we reverted to type and stopped thinking of the future and how we can move forwards.
